Then, Lee asked everyone if they were in, everyone was except Kenny. He said that Lee had really only been looking out for himself the past few days. So he said he'd have the boat ready on the water.
Ben, Lee, Christa, Omid, and I were soon in the sewage pipes- trying to find Vernon and his group. We opened a door to find no one there, it was completely empty.
Lee was stressed, even I could tell. He called out for Vernon, but no one replied. Walkers came closer, we could all see their disgusting feet dragging across the ground above us.
There were so many, they were so loud too. Suddenly the walkie-talkie beeped.
"Lee, (Y/N)?" Clementine's voice spoke to us.
"Clem! Are you alright? Where are you?" Lee asked, no reply. "Vernon, you son of a bitch."
"Hello, Lee." A man's voice said.
"Who is this?" Lee asked.
"It's not Vernon, if that's what you're thinking. And you should really watch your tone. Clementine's fine, but if I were you, I'd choose my next words very carefully." The man responded.
"What do you want from me? Whatever it is, I"ll do it and you can let her go." Lee said, I held in tears.
"I want you to never hurt anybody again. This isn't a kidnapping, Lee." The man hissed.
"Then what is it?"
"A rescue."
Then the man stayed quiet.
"He better not fucking hurt her." I hissed, Lee only nodded at me.
"We don't have a lot of time!" Christa exclaimed, as walkers were trying to get through the door.
"Lee, (Y/N)- find a way out of here." She said, we both nodded.
We looked around the place until Lee came across a rib spreader and we used it to open the elevator. As Lee got the doors somewhat open, Lee fainted and I attempted to catch him but of course I wasn't strong enough.
Christa suggested that we cut his arm off, so Lee woke up with Christa holding a saw to his arm.
"Stop, he's awake!" Ben and I said, then the others began to debate whether cutting Lee's arm off would save his life, kill him, or just buy him some time.
Personally, I knew either way he was going to die. He was too far gone now, there was no saving Lee.. but I powered through the tears.
"We leave it." Lee stated, the others finally agreed and went back to protecting the door.
So Lee and I went back to cranking the rib spreader so we could get the elevator open.
Then we started climbing up the ladder where the elevator was supposed to be, while we climbed Lee fainted again and was hanging by his legs.
"I'm alive." He muttered.
He soon pulled himself back up and continued to climb until we got to the roof.
Once we got there, we decided we could get to the bell tower and alert all the walkers so we could get down the fire escape and go find Clementine.
Lee picked up a ladder and the others helped him stretch the ladder onto the bell tower. The others suggested they should go, but Lee said he's the one with the least to lose.
When he was climbing, the ladder fell and he was stuck on the other side of a hoard of walkers. So he decided to jump. It was the most heart-stopping thing I'd ever seen.
