After finally being able to catch some sleep you where then awakened by the sound of gun fire. You quickly scramble out of bed and look outside. Blue Star men are up on the wall firing at incoming mutants.
"We have come to bloody far to lose this place to giants! We are the human race we will not back down from a fight" Yelled Crow as he fired his Ak47 blindly over the wall.
There was blood curling roar and a loud explosion,men from the wall fly outwards and land with crunch. You notice one man that stood out,Crow. He was pinned to a wall by piece of shrapnel. James who had been no where to be found durning the attack stood on the roof of the City Hall,he held his fist in the air "Retreat to the Hall...Evacuation code 501 is active!"
You hear the mutants bang on the wall but none have made it through the traps,just one lucky explosion had made it through and blasted the defense away. James disappeared into a latch in the building,you take this time to run to the City Hall,the area is crowded and loud
"This is the newcomers fault if you didn't pull them out when you did the mutants wouldn't be here!" A Calldri man yelled
"Don't be an idiot,We all know the mutants would find us anyway!" Yelled a Draken woman.
"Would you all shut up!?" Yelled James "I know your all scared but we can not act like this when ever something goes south...I've lost a friend today,Crow a friend since the beginning of the Blue Star and all you care about is who is to blame for a something that wasn't our fault or anyone's. So will you shut up for once and I can get this organized?"
The crowds finally goes silent and you watch James carefully.
"We all know that today was the day of the Dead City expedition...We are still going as planned and we leave now. If you wish to stay and barricade this place while we get the lights on then you can stay but if you wish to keep going then follow me" James said as he walked off down a hall,he looked down at the floor "I've gained some friends and I've lost some...When I thought it was just getting good. Good job James you've forgotten that there will forever be horrors in the world" He told himself as he sat on a the bench and thinks to himself.
You take the time to do as you want,you hear one of the guards say that all expedition member are to meet by a secondary entrance to the wasteland by the evacuation route. You head that way and find yourself in yet another crowd.
"Alright classes of humanity today is the day we fight back the darkness that has destroyed our world for twenty-two years! All of friends and family will be avenged today but first I am going to need a second in command seeing that both my second and third command have died fallen to the wasteland...So any volunteers?" He asked
You can't help but raise your hand and say I volunteer. Knowing James fight was for a good cause you decide to help him fight for the greater good of man kind.
"Brilliant...now let's roll" James said as he opened the door and light breaches from the door.
