One of the first DownFall sites,the place was dry and dead. The buildings around the large crater in the middle of the road are burned and abandon,the air smelt burned and tinted by ash.
James closes his eyes at the sight of the disaster,he imagined all of the deaths that happened here.
Jane looked at her father "Do you seem them?" She said as she looked at the street.
"See what?" James asked
"The people,they seem so alive yet so dead" She said as started pointing at what James saw was nothing.
"Sorry Jane...I can't see them" He said looking at the direction Jane was pointing.
Jane sighed and took her fathers hand "Now look dad" she said smiling.
James looks outside again and saw the shadows,like Jane had said they seemed alive but yet dead.
Women,children and working men these were humans,alive and living a good life before the DownFall went off.
James finally got a picture of what life used to be,what life was never gonna be like even with the lights on. Nothing was gonna change the damaged the war had created,in fact he noticed it never ended. People are still joining encampments,colonies,factions or even gangs. Fighting for supplies,for survival.
Jane let go of James hand and looked at him "Did you see them?" She asked.
James nodded and a question arose "Jane do you see like that all the time?" He asked now curious.
Jane shook her head "No...after I got that fever I started seeing how things really were. Why? Is that bad?"
James smiled "No Jane it's not"
