Chapter 2

Lucia's P.O.V

Taylor dragged me through the crowded hallways to a group of girls all talking around a locker.
"Hey girls" Taylor said walking over
"Hey tay" a girl with curly brown hair said
"This is Lucia, she's an exchange student from Spain"
"That's so cool! I'm kaycee" one girl with straight brown hair said with a big smile.
The rest of the girls introduced themselves. There was Bailey who had a brown and blonde bob. Tati who had straight black hair and tan skin, and Tahani who had curly brown hair. They are all super nice.
Then the bell rang.
"Ugh alright I'll see you girls at lunch" bailey said walking away
"Yeah Tati c'mon we're going to be late for bio, see you later girls" tahani said pulling Tati along with her.
"What period do you have first Lucia?" Kaycee asked
"Um English with Mr.Howles, I think"
"Yay! We are all in the same English class!" Taylor squealed.
"Okay now time to venture into the mess that is the hallway. Everyone just stick together" Taylor said and started walking down the hallway. Me and kaycee followed.

"Omg you weren't kidding when you said to stick together that's so hard to get through" I laughed.
"Yeah, where's Kaycee?"
We both looked into the crowd and saw kaycee struggling to get her way over to us.
"Kaycee what happened?" I said in between laughs
"I got stuck behind this upperclassman that decided that it was a good idea to stop in the middle of the hallway" she said sighing
Me and Taylor just giggled.
"C'mon let's go to English" said Taylor
Me Taylor and Kaycee all walked into our English class laughing at a joke Kaycee had said.
"Hello Mr.Howles" Kaycee and Taylor said. I did the same
"You must be Lucia, welcome to America!"
"Thank you"
"Okay if you ever need anything just come and ask me or if your having any trouble I'm happy to help"
I nodded. "Will do"
I went back and took a seat next to Taylor and Kaycee. Then Mr.Howels started the class. The rest of the day went great. I had most of my classes with either Kaycee or Taylor which is great they are both so nice. It was finally lunch.
Me Kaycee and Taylor all walked into the cafeteria together.
"Wow our bio teacher is so mean" I said
"I know Mrs.Praul is always so salty" said Kaycee laughing
I laughed too. As we walked through the cafeteria I felt eyes watching us. Their probably staring at the "new girl" but at least I wasn't the "new girl sitting alone" I had Taylor and Kaycee. I smiled and ignored the people staring at us. We sat down at the table.
"Hey girls"
"Hey guys, Lucia how are all of your classes so far?"
"They're good, except Mrs.Praul is super strict and I just don't understand Bio" I replied
"Yea I heard last year she made a kid cry" Tati said
"Really?"
Tati nodded.
"So what's it like in Spain?"
"I love it. It's very pretty. It's cold in the winters but hot in the summers and there is always something to do"
"That's so cool"
"The U.S is so boring" bailey said
"At least you guys get snow" I said "I've never seen snow. Ever"
"Really?!?! My family is from Canada and it snows there all the time I can't imagine not seeing snow at Christmas"
"I've always wanted to see snow, but it doesn't happen in my town we are too close to the water"
"But it's cool that you could walk down the street and go to the beautiful beaches there"
"That is true"
The rest of lunch we talked about life and school and stuff like that, I could tell these girls would be some of my best friends. As cliche as that sounded I knew it would be true.
The bell finally rung and I packed up my stuff.
"What do you guys have next?"
"Math"
"Do you know where to go?"
"Yeah I think I can find my way"
I started walking in the direction that I thought was the math hallway but it ended up being the social studies hallway. After wandering around for a few minutes a finally found my math classroom, I was a little late though.
I looked up and the teacher had already started teaching.
"Hi everybody I'm Mr.Blake and welcome to Algebra I"
I walked through the doorway. Everyone turned towards me. I blushed
"Ah you must be Lucia"
I nodded
"Welcome to Algebra I, we were just getting started. Why don't you go take a seat next to Brandon" he said pointing to an empty seat. Brandon was cute. He had dark brown hair with hazel eyes and freckles. I walked towards the open desk.
"Alright class why don't we open up our textbooks to page 102"
I opened up my textbook and started to follow along.
After math I made my way to culinary arts. I walked in and Kaycee and Taylor were already there.
"Hey how was math?"
"Good"
The teacher then introduced herself and we started class.

"Okay I'll see you guys tomorrow?"
"Yeah definitely, here text us" they said handing me a slip of paper
"Okay"
"See you tommorow!"
"Bye!"
I walked over to where I saw josh leaning up against his car.
"There you are, what's in the tinfoil?"
"Cookies"
"Ooooh can I have one"
"Sure here take them all i don't like snickerdoodles" is said handing him the plate.
"Really?!?"
"Yeah"
"Sweet, thanks" he said in between chews.
I smiled.
