Chapter 9

Lucia's P.O.V.

He leaned back creating space between us. I giggled and he smiled.

"Here" he said holding his phone out to me

I put in my number in his phone. He did the same on mine.

After, he grabbed my hand and lead me back to the kitchen where we grabbed more drinks and sat down fairly close to each other. He kept staring glances at me as I talked and walked in very wobbly steps. I almost fell over until someone caught me.

"Whoops" i said getting out of the persons arms and laughing. I turned around to see Josh standing there in black jeans, a plain white tea and a bomber jacket.
"I think it's time to get you home" he said
"I can drive her" Brandon butted in and jumped to his feet.
"It's okay I've got it" Josh glared
"But Josshhhhhhhhhh I'm having fun" I whined
"C'mon" he said grabbing my hand leading me to the front door. I waved goodbye to Brandon as he did the same and I giggled.

We finally got outside to the fresh air.
"Woah" I said tripping over myself and falling onto the grass.
"C'mon up we go" Josh said picking me up and holding me over his shoulder. "How much have you had to drink tonight" he asked me questioningly.
"Uhhhhhh" I said trying to remember. "Well -"
"Too many" he answered before I could tell him. "You're so lucky my parents aren't home" he said opening the door and putting me down on the seat. He got in and drove off towards the house.

Once we got there Josh opened the door and carried me bridal style into the house and all the way to my room.
I collapsed on my bed.
"Goodnight, sleeptight, don't let the bed bugs bite" i giggled as he pulled the blankets over me and turned off the light.
"Yeah yeah whatever, goodnight Lucia"
"Uh huh goodnight" i said my eyes closing.

I groaned as I woke up to the sun blaring through my window. I sat up which was a very bad idea because whatever was in my stomach threatened to hurl itself out of me. I ran to the bathroom as fast as I could and emptied my stomach. I thought I was all done but once again my stomach emptied, this time someone holding my hair back.
"Feeling better?" Josh asked
"No" I said resting my head on my arms.
"Here" He held out water and aspirin.
"Thanks" i said
"Anytime, breakfast is downstairs when you're ready"
I nodded. He left and I got up to change into more comfortable clothes. After I was in sweatpants and a sweatshirt I walked downstairs to the kitchen. I sat down in one of the chairs at the island.
"Ugh remind me to never get drunk again" i said
"Don't get drunk again" he reminded. I rolled my eyes.
"Here this should soak up the alcohol that's left in your stomach" he said sliding a plate of toast toward me.
"Thanks, how bad was I last night, I literally don't remember anything"
"Well first off you couldn't even make it to the car by yourself I had to carry you to the car and all the way up to your room"
"Oh my god I'm so sorry" I said shaking my head
"It's fine" he said brushing it off. "Also when I found you, you were pretty cuddly with Brandon Walker. Anything going on there?" He looked at me questiongly
I smiled as I remembered.
"Well from the smile on your face I'm guessing something happened" he said
"We just kissed it wasn't that big of a deal"
"You're blushing, it was definitely more than "just a kiss" he said imitating my voice, putting his dish in the dishwasher.
"Oh shut up" I responded "and why do you care?"
"I'm just not a big fan of the guy"
"Why"
"Just some shit that happened in the past" he said
"What happened"
"Nothing" he said waving his hand as to push it away.
"Okay then" I said skeptically
"Oh also I texted the girls that you got home safe"
"Thanks"
"No problem"

The rest of the weekend I spent sitting on the living room couch watching movies.

Monday rolled around way to fast for my liking. I quickly ate breakfast and got dressed. Threw on jean shorts and tank top with my vans.

"Hey guys" i said walking over to Taylor and Kaycee
"Hey how you doing?" Taylor asked
"Good"
"I feel like I literally didn't see you at all this weekend you literally disappeared at the party" Kaycee said
Brandon suddenly walked by and winked at me. I blushed as a smile grew from the corners of my mouth

"Uh what was that all about?" Kaycee asked
"What?"
"Um the interaction that happened between you and Brandon Walker"
"I don't know what you're talking about" I said sheepishly grabbing my books from my locker.
"Uh huh" Kaycee said not convinced
"I expect to hear all the details after school" Taylor said eyeing me
"Me as well" Kaycee said.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Maybe"
"Oh you're telling us" Taylor said "I'll make sure of it"
"Whatever" I said rolling my eyes laughing
