Lucia's P.O.V

Oh Shit

My breakfast threatened to hurl itself through me when I saw the two people who were enjoying the kisses that the other planted on their lips.

I didn't know Josh that well but I thought he was better than to hook up with a girl in the bathroom. Especially since that girl was the one and only Marissa Arlington.

I couldn't believe my eyes. I was frozen to my spot, scared that if i made the slightest move they would see me. Once they finally left I sighed. I felt like I had been holding my breath since the second they walked in there. I looked in the mirror. It didn't look like I was about to throw up so that was good. I made my way out of the bathroom and back to boring old math.

"Girl where did you go you were gone for like 10 min" Taylor whispered to me
"I went to the bathroom"
She nodded and focused her attention back on the board. Thank god this was the last class I don't think I could've made it any longer in that jail that we call "school".

After math ended I said goodbye to the girls and walked outside to Josh's car. He was standing there leaning against the shiny gray car, fiddling with the keys.
"There you are, lets go" he said without looking at me hopping in the car
I said nothing about how I saw him in the bathroom today with Marissa and didn't plan on mentioning on saying anything about it to anyone. It wasn't my place to. We drove home in a comfortable silence music playing lightly from the radio. As we arrived at home I unbuckled my seat belt and got out of the car, walked into the house and straight up to my room. I shut the door and sighed laying onto my bed. It was only the beginning of the week and I was already exhausted. I finished up my homework pretty quickly so I wrote a letter to my family. I knew I could always just text them and I do very often but my mother loves getting handwritten letters something about how it makes her feel closer to me and whatever. So I promised her I would write her often which then led to all of my other siblings wanting me to write them as well.

I first wrote to my mom and dad saying how I loved it here and how the family I was staying with was super nice and welcoming. Next I wrote to my youngest siblings Elisa and Diego. Elisa and Diego are both the youngest of our family. I wrote that I finally tried fro-yo and that it taste like heaven on earth. Then came Ricardo but we all call him Rico. and all he wanted to know about the types of cars they had here. It was a pretty short letter because all the cars here are basically the same. Next came my brother Dante i basically just wrote to him about school and gymnastics. After my letter to Dante. i wrote to Carlos, he's eighteen. Before I left he told me to be careful and stay away from guys because they are stupid and no one deserves me and blah blah blah. He can be very overprotective, so i wrote that I was being careful and staying away from guys like asked. I saved the best and longest letter for last, My sister Maria. Maria is 17 and is honestly my best friend. She told me to tell her every little detail. So i wrote her everything. About Taylor and Kaycee, about gymnastics and Marissa. About how school was boring and how i had already been to a party here and they are way different than the ones in Spain. I told her about how the family I was staying with was super nice.

When I finally finished writing letters I looked at my bed. It was covered in stamps, envelopes and paper, along with all sorts of markers and pens.
"Hey dinner is in a few" Josh said poking his head in.
"K" I replied back to him. I quickly put away all the supplies and walked downstairs. I sat down at the table.

After dinner I was clearing the table with Josh while Mrs.Beauchamp washed the dishes.
"Me and Dad are going to take the littles to go visit grandma and grandpa this weekend. You two good staying by yourselves?"
"Yeah" me and Josh replied.
"Okay just wanted to check". With that we finished washing the dishes in a comfortable silence.
It was already late so I went upstairs to shower. I also started to officially unpack. Of course I already unpacked my clothes but everything else was still a mess. I took out all of my toiletries and organized them neatly in my bathroom. Next I took out all the pictures and little trinkets I brought from home. Then I pulled out my fairy lights because I loved those so much and strung them around the room. By the time I was done it was already 11:00 so i decided to hit the hay.

Honestly who was the idiot that invented alarm clocks was the first thought that ran through my mind as i slammed my alarm clock off. I rolled out of my bed and grudgingly got ready for school. I put on the outfit I had layed out last night. It was green flown shorts that tied in the front with a white lettuce cut short sleeved paired with some sandals. After I walked downstairs, shoved a granola bar in my mouth and hopped in the car. Then off to school me and Josh went.
