it was routine, holding on to mike's hand and feeling her heart beat like a bird in her chest as they lay on the banks of the quarry.
mike turned to face her, a soft smile on his lips, "race you to the end?" he asked, january placed a hand on her chin, pretending to think. "hmm." she hummed mindlessly before jumping up and diving into the water.
"hey that's cheating!" mike yelled as he ran after her in a hurry. "all is fair in love and war!"

uhm I'm so sorry but i kind of just lost interest in the IT fandom but basically what I planned is for mike and her to get together when he got attacked by the bowers gang, she also reveals her pyrokinesis when they're fighting IT because he turns into a younger version of her and she loses it and tries to melt his head off.
