there wasn't much to do in derry, january had come to realise. she had been meeting in secret with mike for a while now, about six months? seven? well somewhere there. the little goat, which january had decided to name onion, for no good reason at all really. she was just thinking of onions while petting the goat.
well, apart from that, she really wasn't popular in school. well who would like her? her cousin and his friends were bullies and by association, they disliked her.
-
"are you in there by yourself, beaver-ly? or do you have half the guys in the school with you, huh slut? i know you're in there, you little shit, i can smell you. no wonder you don't have any friends!"
january rolled her eyes at greta keene, "leave her alone greta." she snapped. "oh shut up january! you think you're so cool with henry and patrick and victor and belch to protect you! we all know you're probably sleeping with them."
january sighed in annoyance and focused her eyes on the hem of greta's shorts. "oh yeah can't respond because you know it's true? oh and that day, i think i saw you with that black kid! are you fucking him too? do you like black cock like mmmm yea shove it down my thro- AH!"
greta's shorts had burst into flames. "help! water! water!" her friend rushed over and not thinking straight in the panic, tossed the garbage water all over greta.
greta's pants were now singed, and she was soaked in trash. january smiled, "come on beverly, get out of there and let's go." as the redhead followed cautiously, january turned and blew a kiss to a fuming greta. "have a nice summer greta! see you round."
-
"why did you do that?" beverly asked. "because i know that you didn't sleep with my cousin and because i fucking hate greta."
"oh but-"
the two girls bump into a short kid and january immediately recognises him as ben hanscom. he goes starry eyes for beverly almost immediately.
january smiles, "i'll leave you two to it. i'm going to meet a friend." "wait!" beverly calls. "do you want to maybe hang out this summer?" january grins brightly, "of course!"
hoho im back babies. ok im currently contemplating, should i extend the development of mike and january's relationship or should i have it just start? in between? let me know in the comments.
