Is This Awkward Or What?!

After escaping first period, I headed to my next class, physics. Which I could already feel myself sulking because I normally hate all classes. I'm usually in a class full of idiots.

Sooo time to get this over with... Gosh I hope this won't be a pain!!!

As I walked inside the classroom, I was thinking Still filled with  ignoranuses, just like I remember science class. I sighed and sat in an empty seat at the very corner of the right side of the class. When I look around the class, I see a certain Ethan sitting in the top left of the class talking to a guy who had dirty blonde hair. He seemed a bit shorter than Ethan, but still pretty tall.

Since I sat already, I didn't bother to go towards him so I stayed in my seat. I put my head down and waited for the class to start. I was slowly dozing off when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I looked to see a petite tall girl with golden locks and hazel eyes. She had a flawless body that any girl would want.

"Can I sit here." She said a little too perky. I looked at the seat next to me and noticed no one had claimed it. I nodded in response and she squealed  while jumping up and down.

As the teacher talked about the rules of the class, she tapped my shoulder again. I peered my eyes to her, she seemed too happy. "What's your name?" She perked up. "Scarlet Heart" I gave my response simple, to avoid this girls squealing, let me just say it'll probably pop your ears.

"How cute!!! My name is Mina Brooks~" Her peppiness has to be unnatural. "You know, your very pretty and your eyes are gorgeous.~" I was surprised by that familiar compliment. Reminded me of the creepy prince I was forced to talk to earlier. I was also uncomfortable from her calling me pretty, I mean she was like a goddess compared to me and yet she called me pretty.

"Umm..thanks, but you're way more...pretty." I told the truth, I wasn't even trying to repay the favor or anything. "What?! You're like an angel with your long black hair and beautiful blue eyes, I wish I was you!!!"

I wasn't sure if she was being kind or giving her true opinion, she's so perky, I can't tell. She reminds me of the overly nice cheerleader you see in the movies.

Right when I was about to say something to her, a hand slammed on my desk, making me jump. "Hey girly~ wanna play with me." I looked up in disgust at the dirty blonde haired boy that Ethan was talking to. "Aye leave the girl alone, don't u see she's mine~" I turned around to see Ethan grinning like an idiot while leaning on my shoulder. " Can't we take turns man" the dirty blonde haired boy asked with playful dog pout. "First of all she isn't with anybody, second of all leave the poor girl alone, she's new, she doesn't need to deal with likes if you two." I never would have expected Mina to be angry... it just doesn't seem like it's in her nature. Then again, what do I know. I was just a little surprised she can even be like that.

She glared at them until they backed away laughing at her reaction. "We were just joking" they both said in unison. "Well that wasn't funny, it'd be a nightmare to date you two" when she said that, I smirked a little. " Yeah, well you know you love us" Ethan said confidently. Mina replies sarcastically. "Yeah, I totally love having nightmares dating me, it turns me on." I giggled at that comment but not for long because the teacher was staring intensely at us. “What's so funny that you had to disrupt the class?"

As I was about to reply, Ethan responded for me. "Sorry sir but we aren't really disrupting something when you're the one who did it for us, we were just discussing class rules." The whole class laughed at his remark to the teacher.

Gosh, I really don't want to get on a teacher's bad side on my first day

The teacher gave us a warning, and told us to sit down, glared at Ethan and went back to discussing rules. Ethan and his friend sat down in their seats and Mina and I started chatting again. “Sorry about that, the blonde idiot is Ryan Myers and the other one is.."

"Ethan Knight." I continued.

Her expression beamed with playful pity "Oh you poor thing, you know him huh..good luck." I laughed and said "I might need it." We both laughed and went about class.

Next I had a Algebra 2, and unfortunately had no one I knew in that class. Mina said she had PE this period which I had next. I went about class spacing out while the teacher gave the same lecture every teacher says on the first day. I sat on the seat in the corner that was more convenient to the exit. A tall guy with black hair was sitting in the seat beside me, he seemed bored by the way he was twirling his pencil like it was a drumstick.

Right in front of him, was a girl with light blonde hair with red highlights. She honestly pulled it off and with her petite tall figure, she looked like a model u see on commercials. Right when I was about to space out into my own little weird world, I heard a deep voice say hi. At first I thought it was meant for someone else, but then he said "hi" and waved his hands in my face. I came back to reality while embarrassly replying "huh". I swear, sometimes I can be such a cringe fest. He laughed and said “what's your name?"

I told him my name in a weird stutter and he laughed. I blushed in anger and humiliation. How dare he mock me. As his laugh came to a low chuckle, I crossed my arms waiting for him to finish.“I haven't seen you around here, are you new?", he asked with a sly smirk.

“Yeah... moved here about a week ago"

He looked astounded by that “You only had a week to get settled?"

I sighed silently to myself “pretty much". When we shared a slim laugh, I noticed the girl with blonde hair and red highlights glaring intensely at me.
Boy, I've sure had a thing for making people glare at me today, don't I.

The girl was starting to bug me, so I finally asked “yes?", I know, lame right, but I chickened out on what I planned on saying, I'm sure it wouldn't have made things any prettier.

“Watch who you're talking to" the girl said. Her glare hardened if possible. I was confused as why she would say that since he's not her property. Then I realized something... they must have been a couple which explains why she was angry.

“I'm sorry, is he your boyfriend, I promise I wasn't flirting or anything."

The boy had an annoyed look on his face and scoffed “Like hell I'd date her! She's only mad because she wants to do every guy in the school and unfortunately for her, I'm classy enough to keep my hands to myself."

damn, shots fired.

“Well that was uncalled for?! You you... ugh!" the girl looked like she was about to explode by how red her cheeks were, they were almost as red as her highlights. Soon after she turned to the front with her eyes still filled with anger.

After that, none of us spoke and I was stuck in class with silence in the air.

Is this awkward or what?
