The Social Outcast

Oh what a day

Since I had a block schedule, I'd have lunch then PE. Lunch was pretty exhausting. It was basically Ethan following me like a dog in heat. I was struggling to ignore him because he was quite irritating. I never asked for this! I got so irritated that it was getting uncomfortable to eat. I know it seems weird to move during the time you usually eat, but he was giving me no choice.

Mina was laughing at Ethan's attempt of grasping my attention. At one point he even grabbed my sandwich and told me to stop ignoring him with a mischievous grin lingering on his face. Of course I stopped ignoring because I needed food, I didn't eat at all today. I stared with annoyance as he made small talk with me, I answered in a one word sentences, hoping he'll get bored and leave me alone.

It didn't work. The bell rang shortly after our small talk and as I was about to leave for PE, Ethan walked by me. “ Don't tell me you have PE?" I said with an annoyed look on my face.

“Wow I'm feeling the love" he laughed 

“You're in luck, turns out we do!" he grinned and winked.

We made it to the gym and as I was attempting to seperate, he followed. “ Don't you have anything better to do then to annoy me" We sat on the benches. He tilted his head while shrugging his shoulders. His face seemed in deep thought. What, did I trigger him or something.

“Nope" He chuckled as he said “I just find you interesting that's all."

Weirdo, he must find everything interesting because I'm as boring as it gets.

I ended up spending the rest of my time in class doing my routine of pretending to listen to the teacher explain the rules and listening to Ethan's bantering while occasionally laughing at Ethan's jokes.

Since my house wasn't far from school, I decided to walk while listening to an album of Blink 182 on my phone.

When I got home, I decided to call my sister. She said she was coming soon and that her now ex- boyfriend turned down her offer to come with her... she was the one that did the dumping. I honestly don't understand why anyone needs a lover when they can do other productive things instead.

I ended up asking my sister when is she coming and she promised in a month... Wait a month?! Oh hell no!! What am I going to do about surviving. I'm good at nothing but procrastination and binge watching TV shows!!

After calming me down, she explained that apparently had some stuff she had to take care of. I was suspicious of what she was doing there when almost all her stuff are in boxes here. I bet she's going to tipi her ex-boyfriend's house or something irrelevant.

I laughed as I imagined her throwing toilet paper at his house and flicking him off while driving away as he comes freaking out.

I hate to admit it but I miss her crazy self.

I started sorting out our things into places that seemed like they would look good. After I finished sorting most of our things, I started listening to music while reading one of the dozens of books I brought with me..it was divergent. this was my second time reading it but what can I say, I love the book.

I woke up the next day and took a shower. I wore a Paramore band t-shirt that I had laying around, blue jeans, black combat boots, and a black sweater . I walked to school, this time listening to The Strokes and humming along to my favorite songs. I made it to school with 10 minutes to spare and decided to wait outside my English class and listen to my favorites playlist.

While I was singing along to 'Ways to go' by Group Love, when someone tapped my shoulder. I looked back to see who it was but no one was there. As I was about to go back to my original position, they jumped in front of me and shouted “boo!." Dropping my earphones from shock, I let out a shriek and realized it was just Ethan being an idiot. He started laughing hysterically at my reaction and ended up rolling on the floor from his laughter.

My reaction wasn't that funny was it? How dare he laugh at my humiliation.

I crossed my arms and waited for him to settle down. I felt my face heat up from anger and embarrassment. He stopped laughing but still had a smug grin on his face. I ignored his presence and waited for the teacher to open the door to go inside. Ethan apologized for scaring me however I put my earphones on and continued to ignore him.

After the bell rang, the teacher opened the door and I headed inside but Ethan grabbed my arm. He even had the nerve to pull my earphones off. “ I'm sorry" he said with a pleading look in his eyes, but still wearing the same grin. I looked at him and shrugged, deciding to forgive him, not because he asked for forgiveness but because I knew he wouldn't leave me alone if I didn't.

After that incident, first period went about peacefully, along with some small talk between me and Ethan. Although, I occasionally noticed him chuckle at random moments, probably from reminiscing my reaction.

The rest of school went by in a blur, I went to my history class, having Ethan and Mina in there. They were arguing on who got to sit next to me. Mina won the battle thankfully, I didn't see the point on their bickering, they still would've been able to sit in front of me.

Algebra 2 was ok, I only talked to ...though,... was still angry and my last class of the day was art, which was my favorite class yet. It was the most peaceful. I also had Mina and the guy from math in there to keep me company.

After school I headed out the school, ready to walk home when someone called my name. It was Mina. Right next to her was Ethan and his obnoxious friend from Biology. I waited for them to catch up and I responded with a “yeah?"

Turns out they were heading to a brilliant 5 star restaurant across town and invited me!!!

Just kidding, it was Jack in the box. We were originally going to Mc inedible, a.k.a McDonald's but I protested, saying that it was gross....even though we're going to jack in the crack.

Ordering our food and heading to a table, I took a seat next to Mina with  Ethan across and waited for Ethan's friend to bring us our food. Of course we all paid our share.

“ So how's life" Ethan asked to start a conversation.

I laughed. Stop laughing Scarlet, I can't let him win.

After eating with them, Mina gave me a ride home. Right away, I came into my home and slept like there was no tomorrow.

Oh what a day.
