Chapter 36

*Niall's POV*

"Dude, wake up! We're gonna land soon" Liam shakes my shoulders to wake me up. His screen is turned off and he is turning off his phone.

Since I am at the window seat I take a chance to look at America from above. The view is just amazing, I can see a tiny little figure below; The Statue of Liberty. I remember the first time I flew to America with the boys. It was so amazing that I thought I was in a dream. These days I tend to think my whole life is a dream.

"Attention passengers, we will be starting our decent very shortly. Please could you make sure your seatbelts are on and that all mobile phones are switched off. Thank you" The flight attendant says through the gravely intercom.

I fasten my seatbelt and take my headphones out before turning off my phone and shoving it into my hoody pocket.

I don't know why is suddenly hits me now, but I realise that I am at the other side of the world to Abi. If I need to get to her now, I am hours away. Right now I am useless to her. I know she has other people to help her but I am her boyfriend, I need to be there. I know I have no other choice but to leave her because off yhe tour.

I break from my thoughts when I fell the plane dip. My stomach always feels like it is doing somersaults when we fly. I guess I just haven't got used to it yet.

It doesn't take long for us to get down and land. We all pile off the plane and head towards the baggage claim, but unfortunately it is going to be a harder job than first anticipated. Fans and paparazzi are surrounding us. I don't think I have ever seen this many anywhere. I heard guards everywhere telling the girls, and the few boys dotted around, to stay back so we can get through.

I get to the conveyor belt and wait till I see my bag come through. I wait for what felt like hours until it finally came. I guess it seemed longer than it actually was because the boys had already got theirs before me.

Looking around the guys I see that they aren't smiling and I know why. It is very rare that all but two have left girlfriends behind and I can see it is taking it's toll on them all. I guess Zayn, Louis and Liam are kind of used to it, even though Louis hasn't been with Gina for that long he knows what it is like because of Eleanor. I look at Ashton and he just looks broke and worn out.

"Hey Ash, whats up?" I ask as I walk beside him.

"It's Maria" He says blankly.

"What about her?"

"I haven't been away from her once since we started dating and I hate it. Plus I keep thinking while I am gone she will find someone else"

"Trust me, it will be fine. Maria is just like Abi and I know Abi will never do that" I reassure him, "I've seen the way she looks at you when you're playing and when you are just sat doing nothing Ashton. Pure love fills her eyes"

"I've never thought of it like that. I guess I am just worried because my last girlfriend cheated on me and it kinda scarred me"

"Yeah, I get it. Just hang in there. We will be back home before you know it" I pat his back and we finally make it outside to the van.

Off to the hotel.

*Abigail's POV*

"What you wanna do tonight?" Kara asks.

Right now me, Kara, Maria, Bree, Liv and Neve are all sprawled out all around my living room at 8:30pm. You can say we are having withdrawal symptoms with the boys.

"We could go bowling" Neve suggests.

"Nah" I say.

"Watch films" Bree says.
