"Dona?" , Mr.Clark crouched in front his employee who was hiding in the janitors closet bawling her eyes out. He'd heard a small choked sobs while going home. The poor girl looked broken. "Sweetheart , what's wrong?" , he asked the young girl who was like a daughter to him. Hugh Clark owner of Clark Industries was blessed with two sons and a daughter who was happily married and no longer lived with him hence he held a special spot for Dona. The testosterone level at home was sometimes to high to deal with. "Mr.Clark I-I , home , she's getting married. I don't" , she cried and hugged him. "Dona it's going to be fine , should I call your father honey?" , he asked her. Chris Evans was Hugh's best friend from university , though they had lost touch a few years back they reconnected . Dona had managed to keep this a well kept secret until last year when her father surprised her at work. Dona worked with the creative director's team in his advertising agency. It had been 5 years since she'd been working with the Clarks. She'd joined as intern after finishing her graduation leading to her having a steady job. "No sir , please don't. I'm fine" , she smiled and wiper her cheeks. "Come on darling , let's go home. Theo is back from his business trip , Grace insists you join us. " , he smiled and lead her to the parking lot.
Lunch with the Clarks had managed to brighten Dona's mood. She'd forgotten about her sister's wedding card she'd received through mail and the phone call she received from her mother. "Hope you've changed your eating habits and don't still binge eat!" , she nagged. "There's a wedding coming up and I don't want people to laugh at us. Hope you can keep our respect Donatelle."
"Dona?" , a voice called out to her as she sat in the back garden of the Clark mansion swinging on the old white swing placed in the centre of their garden. "Dee?" , a hand touched her shoulder startling her. "Oh hey Theo" , she smiled at Mr. Clarks son - Theodore Nathan Clark.
"You seem upset , what's wrong?" , he asked her and handed her a steaming cup of hot chocolate which she accepted graciously. "Theo I lied about something , I'm not who you think I am."
"What do you mean?" , he asked her. "This morning I got a call from home , my younger sister is getting married hence I must return next week for the events to commence. My name isn't just Dona Theo , I am Donatelle Aureilie Evans. I'm the young Evan who ran away from home at the age of 17." tears prickled down Dona's cheeks. "I know that Dee , I saw your father the other day I just didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable hence I waited for you to tell me. I would never judge you for your past & I am sure you had a pretty good reason to run away. No offence your mother's scary" , he chuckled.
"She is , as a child I wasn't exactly the ideal size. I was a healthy girl and she hated it. I was a topper in school and she saw me as a disgrace. I wanted to study and get a degree , she wanted me to lose weight and walk the ramp , win stupid pageants and live her dream. So after high school I ran away after receiving full scholarship from the university. I studied and worked and never looked back. Not once did she bother to come and check up on me , my father however would visit me every month along with my siblings. My mother always preferred my childhood best friend Isabelle over me , I won't be surprised if she would force Athena to make her the maid of honour. " , Dona expressed. "She was the daughter my mother always wanted."
"It's a shame how she can't she how amazing you are Dona , you are prefect" , Theo smiled at Dona and kissed her cheek making Dona blush profusely.

"She's getting married , I mean what's wrong with her? She's just twenty for gods sake!" , Savannah rambled on the phone as Dona was packing her belongings. She left for her hometown in two days and had to make sure she wouldn't disappoint her mother. She'd gone a shopping spree with Ivory - Theo's oldest sister to buy the perfect outfits in order to make her mother proud of her. Dona always died to hear those three words from her mother " I'm proud of you Dona"
