To say the lunch was awkward would be an understatement. Dona received cold stares from Elijah , Isabelle was latched onto his shoulders like a leech, Savannah was busy flirting with Silas making Caspian's blood boil, Vincent was a little drunk and was bringing Athena down by making fun of her , Rosalyn and Ethan Walker - Elijah's older brother were on in their own bubble and weren't bothered about anything , Dona was trying to process everything. What was going on here?
Soon the party was wrapped up and everybody headed back. Theo and Dona headed back to her childhood house. House was an understatement , it was a mansion. It was around 7 in the evening , everyone was seated around the fireplace sipping on some tea. Dona's grandmother had messaged her saying they were back from their business trip and Dona let out a sigh of relief. Dona loved her grandparents , they had always been her backbone and had practically raised her.
"So Dona where do you plan on staying?" , her mother asked her. "Over here mother , where else?" , she asked confusingly. "Oh I'm sorry dear but Izzy has been living with us for the past few months since she had a terrible break up and her family is giving her a tough time. I offered her your room and the guest wing is being redecorated for the wedding" , Dona's mother smiled.
"Of course mother , you would pick this sleaze ball over your own daughter" , Donatelle got up. "That's no way of talking Donatelle , behave yourself" , her mother raised her voice.
"Behave myself , do you ever hear yourself talking? What did I do to receive so much hate from you? You've always been nothing but cruel to me and no matter what I do you're never happy" , tears were streaming down Dona's face. "You've always been a disgrace , ran away at the age of 17. God knows what you were doing. It took me years to clean up your mess" , Her mother scoffed.
"Mess? I was offered scholarship by a prestigious university mother , I went to complete my education and topped the university . I didn't go to whore around unlike some people"
"Mind your language Dona" , her mother shouted. "Orabelle thats enough" , Dona's father piped it. "Yeah mum , Izzy can always go back or stay with one of her friends" , Caspian tried to offer a solution as he hugged his sister who was shaking.
"No she won't , Izzy is like a daughter to me and is going through hard times. I'd very much like to be there for her" , Orabelle squeezed Isabelle's hand who offered a smile and was staring at Dona with eyes which clearly said 'I always win'
"You know what , it's fine. Coming back was a mistake. I'm sorry Athena. I'm heading to Gramps right now and will be driving back tomorrow. Should've never come back in the first place" , Dona smiled and headed out for the door with Theo on her trail. "It was nice meeting you'll , congratulations on the wedding Athena. Good night" , he smiled and headed out.
"Are you happy now?" , Caspian fumed at his mother who ignored him and headed for her room.
"Just get my babygirl back Cas" , Chris smiled and followed his wife.
"I'm going to gramps" , Caspian banged the front door. "So are we" , Rosalyn got up followed by Silas and Athena.
"If you think you've won Isabelle you're highly mistaken , my mother may be blind but not me. The truth will come out soon and you will perish to nothing" , Athena smiled at Isabelle.

A voice sang as the melodious keys of the piano played through Robert and Rosie Evans house. "She's been in there since an hour" , Rosie Evans - Dona's gran smiled and poured some Jasmine tea for everybody. "It's a beautiful song isn't it?" , Savannah smiled. "It's a shame that everyone thinks it was written by Isabelle. I remember Dona writing it and practicing for hours. She wrote it for Elijah and wanted to play it for him but Isabelle stole the song and rest is history"
"Elijah as in Walker?" , Theo asked. "Yeah , Eli-Izzy-Dona and Sav. The inseparable crew. Dona loved Elijah since childhood but Isabelle was always jealous of Dona and Dona always felt inferior to Isabella and soon we all fell apart. Isabelle changed , the sweet little girl who we knew became viscous and cunning. It's like she's a totally different person now. " Savannah explained as she sipped some red wine.
" Don't talk to me like that Vincent " , Athena shouted. "Yes I did , because your sister is a disgusting human" , Athena retaliated. Vincent called her demanding why she had spoken to his younger sister in this disgusting manner and obviously Isabelle had filled his ears with lies.
"Don't you dare call me back" , Athena disconnected the phone and sat down next to Silas. "Hey you okay?" , he nudged her shoulder. She smiled and buried her face in his chest as sobs racked her tiny body. Something broke within Silas , the beautiful Evan girls didn't even know what they were worth. Rosalyn held there 6 year old daughter who had just come back from gramps from their trip - her boyfriend left immediately he found out she was expecting , Athena was in a toxic relationship with the brooding Vincent and Dona who's love was snatched out if her hands from her best friend and dealt with her difficult mother. They didn't deserve this , they were pure hearted girl who never meant any harm yet were dealing with unwanted crap.
"She adorable" , Theo smiled at Rosalyn as she held Amber in her lap. Amber was busy playing with Rosa's phone. " Hey Sweety , how old are you?" , Theo ruffled Amber's hair. "I'm 6" , she giggled. "Hey baby , mum's going to get something to eat for you, why don't you sit in Uncle Theo's lap for a bit" , Rosa smiled and headed for the kitchen.
"You like mum" , Amber poked Theo's cheek. "Excuse me?" , he asked her in amusement. "Your eyes are twinkly , the same way as Uncle Cas's get when he sees Savy. Dont worry I won't tell anyone" , she whispered and continued playing on the phone. Theo just chuckled , Rosa had always been a beautiful girl and growing up indeed he had a crush on her. She'd always came to visit Caspian at university and they'd interact during parties and social gatherings.
"It's 8 and she hasn't come out yet" , Caspian sighed. "Come on Cas, lets get her out" , Savannah took his hand and they headed to the music room.
"Babe? Dona" , Sav knocked the door. "Come out sweetie , its time for dinner"
"I'm not hungry" , she mumbled. "Donny , you need to come out , come and talk to us. We don't want you to leave. You just came" , Athena sniffled. "I don't care what mother says , you're my sister and my maid of honour Donny , please don't leave. We all love you and need you. If you do you'll be hurting all of us. Dont be selfish Dona , I know mother is difficult but please think about me?" , Athena sobbed.

Athena , Rosa and Dona sat on the roof sipping on some vodka and diet coke. The Evan sisters , finally reunited.
"Why you marrying him Nana? I saw the way he talks to you , he's so disrespectful" , Dona asked her younger sister. "I don't want to talk about" , she mumbled. "I love you Athena and its your life. But as your older sister I think you're making a huge mistake , I know you want to be a marine biologist and I also know mother is behind your rash decision of getting married but all I want to tell you is that if you break this wedding I will always support you and will sponsor your university." , Dona hugged Athena.
"Thanks Donny , I love you" , Athena sniffled. "So you aren't leaving tomorrow right?" , Rosa asked Dona. "Nope" , she smiled.
All three of them sat there hugging. "What about us?" , Silas cried and crushed them followed by Caspian , Savannah and Theo. No matter what Dona's mother said these people were her family and made her happier then anybody and she was going to stay here because you can't leave family.
