IZZYS POV
I wake up bright and early to the sound of birds chirping. God dammit birds. Why are they awake do early?
Cassie and I went to bed around 3:00 am last night after playing a few more rounds of truth or dare. I look over to my clock and realized that it was almost noon. Oops, I guess it's not so early. Today's my last full day here and I need to get packing. Cassie's still sleeping, looking peaceful as ever. it's basically my job as her best friends to wake her up by giving her a wet willie.
"UGGGH!!" She eagerly swats away my hand as she sits up and wipes the spit out of her ear.
"Good morning!" I speak in a bright cheery voice, although Cassie's doesn't appear to be too impressed. Instead of answering she lays down and falls back asleep. "Aw c'mon Cass! Today's our last day together and it would be really fabulous of you if you helped me pack!"
"Fine." She mumbles, sitting back up. We get dressed and freshen up, then heading down to grab 2 suitcases from my basement. 1 big one and one small one.
*2 hours of packing later*
"Uh... Just sit on top of the suitcase and I'll do it up." I suggest to Cassie. She obeys my request and sits down like I told her. After a few minutes of trying, I finally get the suitcase done up.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!" We cheer at the same time. I have both my suitcases and carry on all packed and ready to go. I look over at my best friend to see her facial expressions looking sad.
"Aw, girl what's wrong?" I put my arm around her. She quickly changes her expression to look like grumpy cat.
"I wish I could come..." Cassie's always wanted to visit LA, but has never gotten the chance.
"Cassie why don't you ask your parents if you can come to LA with me?!" I blurt without thinking about how crazy that sounds.
"I don't think they'd let me go for a whole year." She answers sadly.
"You don't have to! Just ask if you can come for a few months!"
"Okay I'll try." She nods as she picks up her phone to call her parents. I go into the bathroom to allow her some privacy.
I look in the mirror at my long golden brown hair. I've been growing it out for a few years now and it's almost down to my waist. Jack always said that I look good with long hair. I think so too. Plus I really like the color because it compliments my tan skin and brown eyes. As I lean in closer to the mirror to pick something out of my teeth, Cassie walks into the bathroom, tracking in a gloomy aura along with her.
"They said no..." She sobs.
"What... I was sure they were gonna be okay with it." I sigh confusedly. "Hmph. I got my hopes up about going to LA with my best friend but..."
"JK! They said yes!!" She squeals.
"NOT COOL!" I pout but can't keep it from turning into a smile. I... I mean we, are going to LA together!
"I must've caught them in a really good mood because when I asked how long I could stay they said it didn't matter as long as I stick with you!"
"YAY!!" I jump. "Wait what about your plane ticket?"
"My mom said she'd go see if there was any seats left on your flight. She's gonna talk to your mom about it. They're probably discussing it right now!" I sprint out of the bathroom and down the stairs to the kitchen where sure enough, my moms on the phone talking to Cassie's mom.
"We better go to your house and start packing!" I whisper to Cassie as she walks up behind me.
"Mom we're going to Cassie's house to pack her stuff!"
