Margot sat in the backseat as Thomas drove to her new foster home. The only thing she was that they weren't in Indiana anymore. About a half hour ago they had drove pass a sign that said they were entering Illinois. Margot didn't know much about Illinois. All She knew was that the Willis Tower was in Chicago.
After a while, they pulled up to a pretty house. It was definitely bigger than her small two bedroom apartment back in Indiana. Thomas got her bags out of the trunk while she got out of the car. They walked to the door and knocked. A women with red hair and dark brown eyes opens the door. "Hello, you must be Margot!" She says almost to excited. Margot nodded her head slightly. They walked into the house and Thomas talked to her for a while.
A little girl, maybe around seven years old, ran up to Margot. "You get to share a room with me!" She said happily grinning. She grabbed my hand and they ran up the stairs. The girl was moving to quick for her. Margot already had a headache but now it was much worse. "Slow down. " Margot said, she didn't think the little girl heard her. As soon as they got to the room, Margot sat down on the floor.
The room was definitely for younger girls. The walls were light purple with colorful butterfly stickers all over. There were two sets of bunk beds, three dressers, and two toy boxes. Toys were all over the floor. By now Margot figured out more than one little girl lived here.
"You get the top bunk over there." The little girl pointed to the beds to the left of the room.
"By the way, I'm Esther." She said running over to Margot. Esther had much more energy than her. "How many people live here?" Margot asked curiously. "Seven, counting you. Three are adopted. The other girl, Amber, is mommy and daddy's biological daughter. Amber is your age, but she is rude and spoiled. She has her own room across the hall." Margot nodded slowly. She honestly doesn't think its fair that she has to share a room with three little girls, but at least she has a room.
A few hours later the other two little girls, Scarlet and Lilla, arrive home. Margot had slept most of the time she's been here, but was awake long enough to meet Amber. She had blonde hair like her father's and wears a lot of makeup. Amber didn't talk to Margot, she just gave her a rude look and went into her room.
Before dinner, Margot was on her way to the bathroom when She heard, "We can't keep her." Margot knew immediately they were talking about her. She stood behind the wall, by the kitchen to keep listening. "We don't have enough time with all of Amber's activities to take Margot back and forth to the hospital." The lady said "Why didn't they tell you about her cancer before she got here?" The man asked. "She was diagnosed after we agreed to take her in. She has to go to a different home. Plus, Amber said she wanted to tryout for cheerleading so there will be no time to take her to the hospital. " The lady replied. "Why is everything about Amber lately? I'm pretty sure she can give a few things, we are family. Margot is apart of our family now." The man responded. "We will talk more about it later." The lady whispered quietly as she left the kitchen.
