"Lilith? Seriously?" I couldn't believe it, I hadn't heard from Lilith in years. She moved out when I was 6. She promised she'd come back for me. She never did. I gave up hope on her coming back when I turned 10, when Kelly came into the picture. I shook the thought out of my mind. I was truly brought out of my thoughts when Dabbson continued explaining.

"I know. I was shocked as well. They said they're taking my last name though." I nodded in agreement; I wouldn't want my last name either, not after what it stood for in our lives. "I wouldn't take our last name either, it kind of sucks." Not to mention it reminds us of the bullshit we've had to take from our parents, for me it was also from my brother and his girlfriend. I took a long sip of the coffee we stole, and for some reason my mind drifted back to that girl in the leg warmers. She was actually kind of cute, though I bet the preppy girls will swoop her up and she'll bully me just like everyone else, except Dabbson. Though I am slightly paranoid he'll bully me too. You never know what will happen.

Dabbson nodded in agreement. "What kind of last name is Parker?" I laughed at that one, its true though, Dabbson and Clarity have cool last names, like Castillo and Riverwater, and I wish I had a cool last name, like Silion or Tucker, but no, I got Parker, fucking Parker. Its generic enough I guess.

Wait, why was I thinking about Clarity again? Is it because she played with my boobs like they're sandbags? I mean, they're nothing special, in fact they're pretty small, if Clarity is a lesbian, and I hate to say this, but she's be better off with Debbie.

Thinking about it, Debbie is pretty well built, attractiveness wise anyways, she can't run to save her life though. Debbie has pretty red hair, brown eyes; she has an even tan, and is tall, even without her heels. Not to mention, she's got a good bust size and a balanced frame, compared to me anyways.

Me on the other hand, I'm not very well built. I'm anorexic, I have dull straight brown hair and boring blue eyes, I'm super pale, not to mention the fact my bust is small. I'm short, so short you can fit me into the tiny gym lockers we have here. I'm nothing special, so why did she try so hard to get to know me?

"Um, Hope? You're doing that creepy mutter thing again." I didn't even realize that I was. I thought I got over that in 5th grade. I sighed and chugged the rest of my coffee, but not without the surprised gasp of Dabbson, who with a grin on his face chugged the rest of his as well. It was hot coffee. We groaned in the burning pains of our throats, but laughed because it was the best pain we've ever felt. The laughter burned, increasing the spawn and quality of our lives, hiding the fact that it'll end once we go home to our ruined lives. Sadly, our bliss was ended, only to start with a new one.

"So, what do you think about that Clarity girl? You seem to actually enjoy that overly happy, preppy girl, and her overly bright apparel." He's right; I think I might actually enjoy talking to her. I mean, she actually talked to me, and didn't beat the snot out of me. It's a rare, but welcome surprise nonetheless. I smiled in to myself slightly, and sighed in annoyance. I can believe that I can actually stand this person. "Yeah I do, somehow, but I'm trying not to get attached, you never know when she'll join Debbie and her goons and torture us." He nodded in agreement. "I see where you're coming from, she seems nice, yeah, but you never know when she'll ditch us to save her own skin." I nodded at that. Clarity is super nice, a bit pushy, but still really nice, but that can change with the offer of popularity and no fresh bruises.

Dabbson checked his phone, I didn't have one. "It's about noon." It was currently lunch, but neither of us was hungry. We sat there in an awkward silence, a slow, dull ringing in our ears filling the silence. Soon we both stood up, and both sighed like those best friends in the TV shows.

"Let's go to the roof of the school, I know it's a dumb idea but I doubt anyone will find us up there." I nodded in agreement. "Alright, let's do it." With that, we head out for the dumbest idea of the day.
