Getting Closer

After class I got bored. I can appreciate teachers trying to do their jobs, but I just can't pay attention, not with Hope on my mind. Why can't I just be normal and not be obsessed with the first girl I lay my eyes on? She is cute though.

Ok, screw class! I gasp at myself, drawing some wayward eyes as I do so, before ducking under some stairs, my heart pounding.

"Phew.." I was saved by the power of being new and ignored. Soon the bell rang leaving me in an empty school, the occasional second the period starts doors opening for those special snowflakes. Wait, I am one of those special snowflakes.

Soon after the bell rang, I heard the door near me open, I was in the main hall of the school so the doors were pretty close. I peaked over to see Hope, and some random guy. He looked familiar.

"But Hope he was so hot! I saw his abs!" The Guy was showing how the abs worked on his skinny body, making Hope laugh. "Sorry Dab, I cant relate, I'm gayer than a double rainbow."

Hope is a lesbian? Yes! YES! I almost squealed in happiness as I watched them go up the stairs, laughing and arguing about who was gayer. I decided to be stupid and follow them.

Using my ultimate ninja skills, known as trying to be quiet when my giggly mess of a self is too loud for life. I managed to follow them to the third floor before the 'Dab' kid picked the lock on a 'Restricted Area' door. The room had stairs on the inside going up.

The roof? Soon they went up, Dab locking the door behind him. I ran to it as it was closing, getting my pinky and ring finger of my right hand stuck in the down. Son of a unicorn biscuit that hurt!

I managed to get it open and shut without a 'what was that?' so I think I'm ok, for now. I snuck up to the roof, the second I got up there, the rough winds blowing my hair around and moving my jacket around, making it look like one of those poofy British people shirt from old England.

"This was a good idea." the Dab kid said as he looked out, the wind blowing their clothes around as well.

I decided to bitch up, and I walked over, my heart pounding. Soon the beanie Hope had gotten, probably from this gay man, blew off her head. She tried to grab it but couldn't. She looked so sad.

Using my old school's track team skills I got, I ran and jumped up, grabbing it midair, and landing like a badass. I turned and looked at her smiling. I have the best idea!!

I walked over to her, her looking at me. Her piercing blue eyes and straight brown hair making her look like an angel in disguise. She was gorgeous. I smiled and handed her the beanie. "I think you dropped this," I finished it with a wink, getting a blush from her as she took it. She gave me a small smile and the cutest 'thanks' I had ever heard. I think my heart exploded.

"Awwww! This is my new OTP!" I looked and saw the Dab kid grinning. "Dabbson!" I looked at Hope, her face was as read as the lettering on her 'Bullet for my Valentine' shirt. Cute.

"What? You know I'm right!" Dabbson, as he's called, gave her a coy smile and turned to me. "You got a name mysterious savor of the beanie?" I laughed.

"Clarity, Clarity Riverwater. What's your dead meme?" Hope laughed at that one, and I don't mean a small one, a full on, hunched over clinging onto her stomach laugh. Dabbson just looked pissed. "Dabbson, Dabbson Castillo."

"Wait, did you spray paint 'Fuck the capitalist principal' on the principal's car at Jayson Jr.?" His eyes widened. "You remember that?" I laughed at his shock. "Yeah I do! He was so mad he looked like a red balloon!" Me and Dabbson laughed, leaving my poor sweet Hope confused. I'll tell her later.

"So what are you two doing skipping class?" I tried to act cool, but I was probably failing. Hope was the first one to reply for once. It made me happy to hear her voice more. "We got bored, why are you skipping, miss unicorn?" Shit, busted. "I got bored too. The math teacher ruined my day."

"She looks like a rotten pumpkin." and with Dabbson's comment, we all ended up laughing so hard we ended up and the floor, looking up at the dull grey skies in Heatherville, Oregon. It quite calming actually.

Before I knew it my hand magically was intertwined with Hope's my heart exploding in my chest. I hope they can't hear it. I looked at Hope, her blue eyes reflecting the clouds. If I wasn't looking at her, I'd say it was the prettiest thing I've ever seen.
