Dinner was amazing; I will have to make a point to ask Sophia if everything Erik cooks is that delicious. It is easy to see after spending time with Sophia and Mitch that they are made for each other, he is pretty much the male version of her. He seems very kind, but he has that same mischievous look in his eye when he looks between Erik and I. Sophia probably has him pulled into whatever crazy plans she has for us.

It's almost seven thirty by the time we are about finished with cleaning up from dinner. And by cleaning up I mean putting the left overs away and putting all the dishes in the sink, because they have people for that. I wish I had people to do these sorts of things for me!

"Emma I got three different movies, which one do you want to watch first?" Sophia hands me the DVD's and I have never heard of any of them.

"You can pick whichever one you want. I am only going to be able to stay for one movie though, I am beat."

"Sounds good we will get it set up and meet you in the living room." Sophia and Mitch make their way out of the kitchen as I help Erik finish up. When we walk into the living room my suspicions are confirmed that Sophia and Mitch are working together. They are both sprawled out under blankets on two of the three couches, meaning Erik and I are left to share the smallest couch in the room. I glare at Sophia and she refuses to acknowledge me. I am not really complaining though.

I find a blanket draped over the back of the couch and grab because I am freezing. I am not sure if this is due to me being so damn tired or if Sophia turned the heat down as another part of her plan. Erik shuts the lights off and takes a seat next to me and starts the movie. I remember making it through the first few scenes of the movie and that's it.

When I wake up it is totally dark in the living room except for a glow from the hallway light. My head is resting on a pillow; I only remember having a blanket. When I move my head I realize that I am sleeping on Erik's lap, I must have fallen asleep and he put a pillow under my head. I grab my phone and the clock reads two in the morning.

I decide I am far too tired to try to drive home. I start to grab my pillow and blanket and sit up so I can move to the other couch. It doesn't look like the way Erik is leaning against the arm of the couch is very comfortable at all. Just as I stand up I feel that same electric feeling in my hand from earlier and realize that Erik has reached out and grabbed my hand.

"Emma lay back down, I'll move so you can get comfortable, plus this couch is already warm. Or your welcome to go up to the guest bedroom again."I did not think it was possible for his voice to be any more attractive till hearing it laced with grogginess. And again he is being thoughtful, which makes everything about him even more attractive.

"Thank you, good night." I say as I nestle myself back down on the couch. I do not have the energy to make it all the way up the stairs.

"Good night Emma, sleep tight." Erik  lets out a small chuckle and bends down and places a kiss on my forehead. I am grateful that it is dark in the living room because I feel like my face is on fire. I am surprised when I hear the rustling of the couch to my left; I peek my head up and see Erik lying down. I was expecting him to go to his bedroom, but instead he's staying in here with me. I have to tell myself that he is just being nice  and likely is too tired to go upstairs also. That it means nothing, even though I am hoping it means something, anything.

I open my eyes when I smell coffee and delighted to find a hand extending a mug to me. I grab it and take a quick sip before looking up to find out who is so kind, even though I already have a good idea. Of course its Erik, my heart flutters a little bit when my eyes meet his; I tell myself it's from the sudden surge of caffeine going through my veins.

"Good morning sleepy head." Erik smiles while holding his own coffee, the grogginess is out of his voice, but it's still pleasant to hear.

"Good morning, thank you for the coffee it is much needed." Just as I smile back at him Sophia comes bouncing into the room followed by Mitch, both holding onto coffee cups. I knew I liked these people.

"About time you wake up! Geez did you two have a party after we went to bed?" Sophia plops herself down on next to me on the couch and elbows me playfully. I am unsuccessful in preventing my coffee from spilling and ends up all over my lap.

"HOT HOT HOT!" I shriek as I quickly stand up trying to get the hot liquid off my lap as fast as possible. "Shit! I am so sorry I got coffee on your couch and the floor."

Sophia rushes over to me, "Emma it was hundred percent my fault, don't worry about it. I am so sorry. Are you okay? Let's go get you changed out of those wet clothes." Sophia tends to ramble a lot when she is nervous or upset.

"Sophia we may fit into the same size shoes, but you are a stick compared to me, there is no way I am going to fit into any of your clothes. I'll just go home, it not a problem. Again sorry for the mess." I am not saying that I am fat by any means, but compared to Sophia I look like a tree trunk compared to a branch.

"Emma you are not driving home in wet clothes, and I am not letting you leave before you have something to eat." I am surprised when Erik grabs my hand and starts leading me out of the living room towards the stair case. "I am sure I will have something that you can wear." Oh great he is going to pawn off some clothes that an ex left behind on me. This day just keeps getting better and better.

When we walk into his room it is huge, even compared to the room I stayed in when I was first here. I am not quite sure why anyone would need such a large bedroom when they have such a large house to spend time in. Erik walks me into what appears to be one of the two walk in closets in his room. When he flips that light on I am surprised that it is full of casual clothes including sweatpants, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and tennis shoes. I am assuming the other closet must have all of his dress shirts and fancier clothes I see him in most of the time.

"One of the sweatpants on the left side should fit you; they might up be a little long for you though."

"Are you calling me short?" I yell as I close the closet door to change. I considered myself to be a pretty decent height for a girl at five foot seven, but when you compared me to the at least six feet tall that Erik is, I do feel a little short.

Erik looks over at me with a grin on his face when I open the door, "Well I'm not calling you tall that's for sure." He lets out a laugh.

I throw my coffee soak sweats at him, "Well that's not very nice." He of course catches them and then he throws them in the laundry basket to his right. He comes over and wraps his hands around my waist and starts leading me out of the bedroom.

"I guess not, how about you let me make you breakfast to make up for it." He looks down and winks at me.

"It better be as good as dinner was last night or I am not forgiving you. Are you adopting my sweatpants?" I was planning on just taking them home with me and washing them until I had no choice but to throw them at him.

"Challenge accepted and now you will have a spare pair for the next time you stay the night. You seem to be a little clumsy Emma. It's probably best you keep some spare items here." Erik squeezes my waist a little bit and pulls me in closer to his side for a second. Next time, I like the sound of that.

"This was not my fault! This was all Sophia's fault!" I am not sure why I sound so upset.

"You're pretty cute when you're feisty." I don't reply because I am trying to decide if my ears are failing me, did Erik just call me cute? This day really does keep getting better and better.
