Chapter 3- what did you do?!

*that night*

"don't go into the basement, your never supposed to go into the basement" I said as I sat on my old couch with my brown hair in a messy bun and my black glasses on ,right now I was watching a old horror movie that I used to watch when I was a kid and tbh these parts get me every time.

*screams*

"see that's why you don't go into the basement dumbass!!" I yelled at my tv.

*knock knock*

I heard a knock at the door as I checked my phone.

12:35 who would be here this late ?

*knock knock*

*ring ring*

"okay okay I'm coming"

I said as I rushed over to the door.

"why are you at my hou-" I looked up and saw a very familiar face.

"nash?" I said , god he looked awful "what are you doing here so late?" I asked him

"it's cleo" he sad sadly

"what do you mean 'its cleo' what happened?!" I said more aggressively

"we uh we w-were all p-playing with her and s-she slipped and hit her h-head on the f-floor" he said while he fiddled with his fingers

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN!"

"shhhh" he interrupted me

"DONT TELL ME TO SHH, WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE SLIPPED! IS SHE OKAY! is my baby girl okay.." I said as I started to tear up.

"she's at the hospital right now, she's unconscious, camerom stayed with her and told me to come get you" he told me

"let's go!" I said as I pushed him out the door.

"cleo, cleo dallas" I said frantically to the lady at the front desk .

"214, down the hall" she replied

I started running and I heard nash tell the lady thank you.

I opened the door and saw all eyes on me , I didn't bother with them I just ran over to cee. (a/n bad timing but that rhymed lol)

"oh my god" I said as I covered my mouth.

"my poor baby girl" I said already starting the water works.

she had a huge bruise on her little head and a patch over what I'm assuming are stitches. She looked pale and sick.

I looked up and made eye contact with Cameron. "outside. now." I said to him he just nodded and started walking out.

"what the hell cameron!!" I said as I pushed him "I let her stay with you for one night, one fucking night and now she's in the hospital!!" he just looked down "after this is over and she gets to come home , she's going with me and she can't see you anymore, it's for the best" I said as I started walking into the room. but was stopped.

"no" he said to me

"no?" I questioned back

"she is my daughter to and I have a right to see her" I interrupted him

"but-" I said

"no stop it, just hear me out okay" he said and I just nodded.

"Okay it wasn't meant to happen we were all just playing tag in the house and she was running from me because I was it. So we ran into the kitchen and she jus slipped , just like that. I already feel bad enough okay it's my fault she's in here" he said with tears in his eyes

"it's all my fault OUR little girl is laying in that bed and I can't do anything about it but you can't take her away , please don't take her away , I never knew she existed and hell maddie I spent a little over 7 hours with her and it was some of the best moments of my life she's amazing. and I need her . I need you.." he said I looked at him confused.

"I messed everything up with you once and now our daughter but I can't lose you both again. when I said I never loved you I lied it was a way of coping, I thought you were cheating so I thought if you heard me say it, it would impact you somehow. and I'm sorry I accused you of cheating , it's just all of the facts were so believable you'know and the picture looked real and it was so hard not to believe and yes I know I should've confronted you about it , but fuck! I make mistakes and I'm begging for forgiveness so please forgive me."

"okay." I said

"okay?" he asked

"I forgive you and you can see her, but I'm not gonna stay. I will drop her off maybe come in to see the boys but me and you will NEVER happen, ever" I said as I left him in the hallway by himself.

I'm sorry it's short but I have a church thing tonight so I have to get ready, I will update tomorrow asap xx (:
