"Lord Egraine Montielle." Orianna flicked a speck of dirt off her skirt.
"I'm unfamiliar with this individual." Mae caught Liam stiffen and the fearful gaze he sent her way.
"Mae, what's she saying?" Liam murmured moving to stand next to her.
Mae shook her head slightly, "Orianna, where do I find this Lord Egraine Montielle?"
"Ask the man who looks like him," Orianna flicked her eyes Liam's way.
"Mae!" Liam pressed in a low whisper.
"If we get this blue stone, what would you have me do with it?" Mae felt irritation radiating off Liam in waves.
"He'll know what you need to unbind my soul from it, then bring it to me in Teheliron Cathedral."
"What are you paying me in return?" Mae pushed Liam's hand off her shoulder.
"His passage to the Shi'vanna if you decide such, although you'd have a better chance retrieving my stone with him."
"I'll do this, on the condition you send a messenger immediately to the Shi'vanna. I wish for them to find a dryad named Grandfather, and relay where I'm going, whom I'm with and why. My cousin Kris will be with this dryad expecting me, give him my apologies. Make sure the messenger says With love, Maelyrra."
Orianna tilted her head towards Daniel, "You're familiar with the territory, you should deliver it. Wasn't your pack heading that way in the spring? It'll give you a head start darling."
"Mae!" Liam growled.
"Liam do you want them gone or not? Trust me," she whispered harshly in common. Just as fast she switched back to druidic, "I require aid in travelling to this mage, it'll make our work faster, which I'm sure you'd appreciate."
"Very well, Maelyrra," Orianna stood. "You'll receive aid within the hour. Don't forget, Teheliron Cathedral." Mae watched Orianna and the thirteen vampires slip out of the clearing with supernatural speed.
Daniel groaned, "I swear Lil'daisy, yer playin' with fire."
"Daniel if you can, bring my cousin to me." Mae walked over to Daniel and took his hand.
"Lil'daisy?" Daniel tensed.
"Trust me," she took a deep breath focusing energy into her fingers until their tingling was nearly unbearable. She drew a full moon with an M at the center of Daniel's palm. It glowed white then disappeared into his skin. "Verification of your story, and hopefully it'll help my cousin Kris find me. Thank you Daniel." Mae held his gaze, "Will Orianna compensate you?"
"I'm sure she will, do ya really want to travel with him? By yourself?" Daniel flicked his eyes quickly over Liam.
"I'll be fine. I need you to bring my cousin to me more than I need you to protect me, I have my magic," she flashed him a reassuring smile.
"You're poisoned Lil'daisy and this little trick ain't help ya none," Daniel wiggled his fingers at her.
"No, it was just a marker, like marking your initials on a tree, it was a trace of my magic for him. He'll recognize it."
"What about the chest?"
"When the vampires return, I'm sure they'll take it."
"Alrighty then, did ya want me to wait with ya 'til then?" Daniel surveyed the area, Mae could hear his deep intakes of air—did he smell something else?
"No, I'll have enough to deal with Liam without you two riling each other up."
"Good luck Lil'daisy." Daniel pulled her into a bear hug, "Don't be goin' and gettin' yourself killed before I get back."
