My mom came out of the Principal's office with my new schedule in her hand.

"There you go, Harry. This is your new time table." She said while handing it to me.

"Thanks." I said.

"But you need to work really hard as you'll be far behind from other students in class." She warned me.

"I will." I assured her.

---

"Since when did you started developing interest in biology?" Louis raised an eyebrow. What a mom question.

"Well, it's interesting..." I said laying emphasis on the word 'interesting'.

"And?" Liam asked.

"And what?" They have noticed that I was hiding something from them.

"There's something you're not telling us." Louis complained.

"Well, Elise also takes biology." I finally told them.

"Elise? That coffee shop girl?" Niall asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"How did you find out her name? And how do you know that she takes biology?" Liam inquired.

"I have resources." I smirked.

"Margaret." The all said in unison.

"So, do you like Elise?" Zayn finally questioned.

"Well..." I said stretching the word "Yeah, I mean, maybe. I don't know really." I was still not sure whether I liked her or was it something else.

They all smirked at each other. Thankfully, the bell for my bio period rang and I ran for my first biology class.

As I entered, I saw all the students were settled and the class was about to start. Mrs. Hudson invited me in and introduced me to the whole class. She offered me to sit with whoever I wanted. My eyes carefully scanned the whole class and I found her. Sitting alone on the fourth seat of the last row by the window.  All eyes on me, I walked towards her. With every step I took towards her, my heart beat kept increasing.

Her bag was placed on the seat that was next to her.

"Hey, is someone sitting here?" It took everything in me to ask her this question.

"No." She answered.

"May I?" I asked nervously.

"Sure." She smiled and removed her bag to let me sit next to her.

As I sat , her sweet smelling perfume filled in my nostrils making me feel bubbly inside.

The lecture started and all the students started jotting down notes in their notebooks. I was about to do the same but I realised I did not have a pen or even a pencil to write down something. I forgot to bring it in excitement.

I looked at my side to see her noting down the points in her notebook. Way too nervous to ask for a pen,  I carefully listened to the lecture hoping that the words get imprinted on my mind.

"Why are you not writing anything down?" I heard her calm voice and goosebumps appeared under the sleeve of my hoodie.

"I don't have a pen." I said without looking at her.

She placed her cute kawaii pen in front of me. I looked at her and she smiled pulling out another pen from her bag.

"I have an extra one." She said.

"Thanks." I replied.

"If you needed one, you could just have asked me. Ask me if you need something else." She said and I could hear the thumping of my heart in my chest.

I looked at her and she gave me a warm smile before continuing noting down the lecture. She was nice and polite. I definitely liked her.

"Class dismissed." Mrs. Hudson said as soon as the bell rang.

First lecture went okay. I was not able to focus on the lecture because of the girl sitting next to me who was making my heart beat at an increased rate.

Elise got up to leave and so did I.

"Harry, Elise. Wait!" Mrs. Hudson called.

We stopped while all the students left the class.

"Harry, how was your first lecture today?" She asked me.

"It was great." I replied.

"Good. Now, as you are a new student and you are far behind from other students you need to work really hard to catch up with us." She said.

"I know and I will."

"Elise will help you with all the work. Right Elise?" Mrs. Hudson asked Elise who looked kind of surprised.

"Huh? Oh, yes. Sure." She smiled.

"Elise is a very smart and intelligent girl. She is a very bright student and will help you with your work. And if you want to ask something from me, I'm always available at school." She said and I looked at Elise, who by now, looked like she would die of blushing so hard.

"Sure." I said.

"I would like to pair you two up for all the project work. Elise has been working on her own until now and wouldn't mind having a partner. Would you, Elise?" Her statements kept surprising her.

"Oh no, I won't mind." She smiled not letting her teacher down.

"You can go now." She allowed us to leave.

I walked behind her and my hand went to my pocket to take out my phone but instead my hand caught hold of a stick. I pulled it out to see it was a pen - Her pen.

"Elise?" I called after her and caught the attention of everyone around us. She turned around to look at me.

"Yes?"

"Uh... your pen." I stretched my hand forward to give her pen back.

She took it and our fingertips touched lightly. She immediately looked up at me as if she felt a current pass through me on contact.

"Thanks." I said and just then I heard Taylor walk up from behind me.

"Hey, babe." She smiled at me and gave a disgusted look to Elise, who, on her arrival, immediately left.

"What do you want?" I kept my voice low.

"Why have you been avoiding me?" She pouted and I rolled my eyes.

"I have been very busy with my studies and game practice. I don't have time to hang out with you again." I said maintaining my calm voice.

"Oh, I totally understand but how about you take me on a date this Saturday? It's been a long time since we last went out." She said putting her hand on my bicep.

I gently removed her hand.

"Listen Taylor, I don't know what rumours you have been spreading around the school about us dating. I just want to clear this up that we are not together. We went on just one date just because you insisted." I raised my voice just a little, enough so that it could be heard by the people who have been looking at us, whispering in each others' ears.

Her face expression changed, immediately and there were a few gasps from the students around us.

"What do you mean?" She asked making an innocent face.

"What I mean is that I'm not your boyfriend. We are not together. We are not dating." I stated clearly.

Her face turned angry.

"Well, don't you like me?" She raised her voice.

"No." I gave a short and clear reply.

She turned on her heels and walked away immediately avoiding everyone while I felt like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
