*Nikki Night
"I'll talk to you later, Dad. I'm going to relax for a bit." It still sounds werid when I call him 'dad' since I only just met him, but I'm trying.
So after accepting Riley as my mate, I went to talk to Adrian. He told me things about my mom and about himself.
I felt comfortable talking to him. Strange because usually I can't stand being alone with an older man.
Right now, I'm heading for the waterfall that I used to go with Red.
Suddenly, I hear crying. I look around but I see no one. I follow the cry; it leads me to a tree.
In the middle of the tree trunk is a hole. The crying is coming from in there. I'm scared to put my hands in, though. It's too dark.
"It's okay. They won't hurt you. Put your hands in and grab them." I hear a angelic voice.
I turn and see a beautiful glowing lady with long flowing brown hair and crystal green eyes. She has a glowing halo around her like all the other times that I've seen her in my dreams.
"Mom?" I gasp.
"Hello, my child." Angelika, my mom, greets.
"How is this possible? You're here."
"My child, I have come to warn you. You probably already know that a great evil is coming and only you can stop it. I believe in you, Nikolai. You are very powerful. You will shift into your lion two weeks from now. I know that your birthday is not until December and it is still only August, but the shifter world needs you."
I shake my head, "What do you mean Lion? That's too soon. I'm not prepared."
"Oh, my darling, I don't think anyone can ever be prepared for something like this, but I know you can do it. Yes, you're father is a werewolf, but I am not. I am a lion shifter; you will be able to shift into both your lion and wolf, but your lion is dominant. I have faith in you. Practice your powers right after you shift. The powers that you will gain are not something that someone can help you with. You can't train beforehand because you don't know what kind of powers you will receive. The evil is close but you still have until your birthday before you have to face the evil that lurks in the shadows."
"What about my mate? Will I make it out alive to actually spend the rest of my life with him?"
"That is up to you, Child. I know this is a lot of new information to take in but I believe that you will succeed. Now, you have to believe in yourself."
I nod.
"In that hole are two baby boys. They are tiger shifters. Their pack was attacked by hunters. Their mother was my sister and she placed them here to protect them. Sadly, she went back to get her mate and she was killed. They need a home; they are only 9 months old. They will shift when they turn one in October. Take care of them. I will try to see you soon, my child. I'm sorry but my time is up."
She starts to fade.
"Wait!"
Too late. She's gone.
I snap out of it when I hear more crying. I look at the tree before reaching in.
I stare at the baby in my hand. He's wrapped in a blue cloth. He's beautiful. I set him down gently, to get his brother. I reach in again. This baby is wrapped in a white cloth. Just like his brother, he's beautiful.
Both babies have pitch black hair. Their skin milky white. Their rare purple with blue eyes stare at me in curiosity.
I carefully pick them both up in my arms.

Fix Me, I'm Broken
WerewolfWalking into an empty house is normal to me. I guess I got tired of saying 'I'm home' when nobody is home to reply. It wasn't always like this. I remember when our family was close. Now we don't see each other any more. We don't talk to each other...
