Kami's P.O.V

We were both hugging and crying. Hard. Then when I finally managed to calm down, I spoke.

"Ashton, I'm so, so-" he cut me off.

"It's okay, Kami. Well, what you did wasn't okay but I can understand it now."

"I just," I started," I had no idea how my horribleness affected your happiness. I swear it will never, ever happen again."

"Thank you. But you don't have to keep apologizing becau-" this time, I cut him off.

"Yes I do, Ashton. I should be sorry for years about this. You almost ended your life because of me. I've never been more sorry for anything." I stated.

"But," Ashton wrapped his arms around my waist,"I forgive you." He said as he kissed me softly, yet passionately. And I kissed back.

Ashton's P.O.V.

I returned home around sunset that night. The first thing I saw when I entered the door was my father's crossed arms and my mother fuming beside him.

"Where have you been at this hour? We were worried sick about you!" my father said, trying to conceal his anger.

"I only went on a walk to the bridge and back," I stated, looking at my father and then my mother.

"Well you could've at least called to tell us where you were." My mother stated sassily, as always.

Shit.

"I'm sorry mom, I forgot my phone in my room. It won't happen again, I promise," I told her.

"You promise it won't? And if it does, do you promise to at least take your phone with you?" my father asked me, the tension in the conversation wearing off.

"Yes sir."

"Well okay," my father said while smiling and rubbing his hands,"Then let's have us some supper!" He winked at my mom and then went into the kitchen.

"Sounds good to me!" I said with a grin and walked into the kitchen; kissing my mother's cheek on the way. I sure did dodge a bullet there.

Kami's P.O.V.

When I get home I practically run upstairs to avoid my mother. But when I get to my room, there she is.

"Um, hi mom," I said cautiously.

"Why hello sweetie, how was your day?" Good, she isn't high. She's actually a very nice person, it's just the drugs that make her a monster.

"It was good," I replied while kicking off my shoes.

"Any boys?" she asked.

"Actually, yes." I told her with a grin and talked to her about Ashton. I left out the suicide part because well, I don't think she'd be able to handle hearing that her daughter was a bully and started dating her victim.

Wait. Are we dating? I've never had a boyfriend before, so I don't have any experience with dating. But on the other hand he did kiss me, so I don't know what we are.

All I know is that I definitely won't ever make the same mistake twice.
