A glimpse of light
Shadow chases
You tried to fight
But few survive these cases

A beep, a button
That eases your pain
This helps you some
But isn't the same

For that darkness is always there
Trying to kill your glow
It drug you into its lair
And refuses to let you go

But still have hope
There is a chance
Do not mope
But do not dance

Then a phone call
In the afternoon
It was too late after all
We say it's too soon

They move you
To keep you comfortable they say
There's nothing they can do
So in that bed you lay

Then in the hours of dawn
You are no longer here
Life moves on
Ignoring our tear

Shadow hid
Your bright light
Until the Lord
brought you into his sight
