Tom Marvolo Riddle Jr., Lord Voldermort, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, etc.
He was once just a piece of a soul floating around after the Potter child “vanquished” him. But, now that he regained his soul from the diary, he felt somewhat half whole. Whole enough to have sanity and Slytherinness back.
Months after the return of his diary soul, he fixed all his past mistakes in secret, and thought that he was foolish to go kill the Potters just because of a prophecy made by a false seer.
But he is interested in where the Girl-Who-Lived might be. Dumbledore said that she is in safe hands, but he kind of doubt it, especially since this Dumbledore we’re talking about.
So, he looked for any living relatives of the girl’s parents, and what did he find? Muggles.Because Mrs. Potter was such a powerful and talented witch, he forgot the fact that she was muggleborn. Researching more about the family, he was pleased to find that, Shirley Potter, indeed lived with them…
Until he saw “Deceased” In the file of Girl-Who-Lived’s relative, and “Missing” on the file of the Girl-Who-Lived herself.
Inwardly fuming at the memory, he entered the school grounds. For now, he is acting as a teacher in a muggle Elementary School.
Entering the classroom he was assigned to, all students immediately quieted down which surprised him.
He smiled at the students, while cringing in the inside. He was, after all, the Dark Lord that surpassed all the Dark Lords before him, and he is currently teaching children. Muggle children.
“Good morning students. My name Marvolo Slavomir, but you can call me Sir Marvolo or just Marvolo if you want.”
The class remained looking at him in silence.
He looked at the paper in his hand “As I call out your names please raise your hand… Franklin Abelardo.”
“Here.”
“Hawkins Alejandro.”
“Present.”
“Brittany Barrfind.”
“Here.”“Chase Brentwood.”
“Here.”
“Heather Ceinwen.”
“Present, sir.”
“Mavis Constantina.”
“Here.”
“Ryder Eberhard.”
“Present.”
He took a moment to read the next name, “Shirley Nazarick.”
“Here, sir.”
He looked at the black-haired, green-eyes girl raising her hand.
She stared back at him, eyes gleaming in suspicion.
He snapped back to reality and called out the next name.
The students saw the look on her face and they also became warier of him.
He mentally sighed.
If he wants to earn the trust of these students, it seems that he has to make the Shirley Nazarick-probably-Potter opens up to him.
He raised the paper slightly to hide the smirk on his face.
It will be hard, but he likes a good challenge.

Well… His plan failed. He thought with a mental sigh before smiling at the scene before him.
3 years later, his life as a muggle teacher has been peaceful. Totally different from what his life was before.
And also…
Shirley swatted his hand away from her hair before he even patted her in the head. Shirley always held an expression of annoyance whenever he’s near but that’s fine. As long as she didn’t seriously hate him, or find out about his secret then he’s fine staying by her side.
His plan backfired on him. Instead of luring her to him, he was lured to her without her even realizing.
He lightly laughed at the pout on her face, making her whine slightly. She felt him separate her hair to three parts and started braiding her hair.
Be he wouldn’t have it in any other way.

Another year later, a letter got to him, stating that Shirley Nazarick was given a privilege to graduate Elementary school early and would not be attending this year.
He felt hurt, after years of spending time together she didn’t even properly say goodbye to him?
All of that pain was washed away when he received a phone call from Shirley. She said that, not only would leave school early, she would also be travelling the world. She said she didn’t want to tell him personally because she thought that maybe he wouldn’t let her leave, that was supposed to be a joke but when Tom thought about it he guessed that he might do that. That made Shirley snort.
“Might?” She asked incredulously, “You would.” She stated with amusement.
Tom couldn’t contain the laugh that left his lips to a minimum.
When he asked when she was coming back, she said she will come back next year to start High School.
‘Hogwarts probably.’ He thought, remembering that she will turn 11 next year.
She bid him farewell and ended the call leaving Tom to his thoughts.
Maybe…
He smirked.
Hogwarts won’t mind a new teacher would they?
