Why.

It's been two days. I've made my mind up. I take one last look around the place I've called "home", and leave. As I approach the city, I eject out of the plane. Didn't need it anymore, and no one else needs to use it. I roll onto a rooftop, and drop down, and started playing the waiting game. Around 5 minutes later, a familiar red and black plane came. It appeared to be a different model, most likely just a carrier plane, and Hattori steps out, this time in uniform. It didn't look like any Power uniform I've seen, yet it carried a similar feel to it.

"Um... so are you coming?" He sounded nervous.

"Yes, I am," I responded calmly. Hattori's eyes light up, a warm smile spreading across his face. He lets out a small "yay", and I board the plane with him. The hatch closes behind me, and the plane takes off, heading back to base. It would be a few hours before we arrive. I slowly sit down starting to nod off to sleep (as I didn't get much the previous couple of days) when Hattori comes up to me and sits down.

"So..." We sit awkwardly, Hattori wanting to start a conversation, and me just wanting to sit back and relax. Eh. "What have you been doing this whole time?" I shrug.

"Meh." I pause for a second. "Killing high ranked government officials, destroying cities, massacring crowds, getting captured, escaping. All just one cycle after another." Hattori stares at me, a bit surprised.

"Okay..."

"Well what about you?"

"Um... We've been... training and bombing cities and things like that."

"Not much of a difference."

"Yeah... I guess." The conversation dies. I wasn't really a talkative person. "Do you want a cookie?" He takes a plastic bag out from his jacket, and opens it, pulling out a cookie. I can't help but laugh.

"Yeah, sure." I take it from his hand, and take a bite. "Holy smokes, these are good."

"I made them myself," Hattori says, smiling with pride.

"Well no wonder why." I can't help but have another one. For once, I was enjoying myself without having to kill anyone, something I thought would never happen again. I made the right decision.

After a little while, the plane descends, and lands on a flight pad. I stand up, watching everyone hustle about. The hatch opens, and I walk out of the plane. The sunlight hits my eyes, blinding me for a few seconds, but I quickly adjust. Hattori walks out a bit later, and we stand looking at each other for a bit.

"Well." I gesture with a sweep of my hand. "Lead the way." Hattori brims with excitement, almost bouncing with each step he takes. I take in my surroundings, memorizing the layout like I always do, and we head inside. It was almost like being back in Power again. Everything felt the same as before. Not that many people noticed us, though I could feel a few stares at my back. I was the odd one out for once: Black cloak, weapons equipped, platinum hair, and like before, a female. If this was like last time, then the majority of people I would see would be men. Oh well. We turn a corner, and Hattori opens a door.

We made room in order to make a place for you," Hattori says. "Hopefully-"
"It's fine." I look around. It was similar to my old office, except... I start moving things around.

"Um..." Hattori watches me as I rearrange practically everything. After a few minutes, I step back.

"That's better."

"Well, uh, if you need anything from me, just let someone know." Hattori waves, staring to leave.

"Do I just stay here for now?" He turns around and shrugs.

"I guess." He closes the door behind him, leaving me by myself. There was a pile of clothes sitting on the bed, and I hold it out in front of me. It reminded me greatly of my Invictus uniform. I take my cloak off, kinda throwing it on the floor for now, and lock the door. I change into the uniform, adjusting it to my needs, and I was straightening out the tie when I heard a knock at the door.

"Hang on." I walk over to the door, and unlock it, hoping to see Hattori again. Instead, it was a different officer, and he looked pretty high ranked.

"Hello, I'm here to escort you to the Commander."

"Oh?"

"If you would just follow me..." I walk out of my room, shutting the door behind me, and followed the officer through multiple hallways. I took note of the directions we took, and we finally reached a door, at which the officer knocked again. "Sir, I'm here with Akira, as you requested."

"Let her in," a not-as-deep-as-I-expected voice responded. The officer opens the door for me, and I walk in. There was a small boom as the door closes, and I'm left in silence with the silhouette of a man standing in front of me. The most I could make out of was his uniform, as a simple black trenchcoat covered up most of him. His leaned on the table, and slowly looks up at me. He looked stunningly similar like Orion, with a few features different here and there, and we stared at each other for a while.

"Well you've grown up a lot." It's been a while since I've seen Ren; I barely remember him because I didn't see him that often, being busy with managing everything else. He doesn't respond to me, and he finally looks down and sighs.

"I've been wanting to meet you for a while." He walks around the table, heading towards me slowly.

"I've heard things changed a lot." Ren stood a bit taller than me (damn it), and I finally realize why I felt a bit unnerved so far.

"Yes, yes they have." There was a fire in his eyes, and he walks past me a bit, and stands still. I wait for him to continue, but he didn't. A few seconds pass.

"You could had saved him." And he directs the conversation to something that I didn't want to talk about. He turns to face towards me. "Why didn't you?"

"Do you honestly think I knew where Orion was at the time? He told no one about where he was going, and he did it in the pas-"

"Nonetheless, you could had still tried to follow him anyways."

"Ren." I sigh. "If I knew where he was going I would had went with him, and you know very well that I would had gladly gave up my life in exchange for his."

"And yet you didn't." He walks towards me, grabbing my shoulder and staring into my eyes with a cold steel glare.

"Are you really going to blame me for all of this?" My voice drops down to a whisper, as I tried to contain my confusion and anger.

"You were my father's right hand man and you failed to keep him alive." He shoves me back, storming off. "Leave."

"Ren, I un-"

"I said leave." The door opens, and two guards walk through. I throw my hands up, letting them know that I can leave on my own. I turn, walking out, and I glance back at Ren.

"You may look like your father but you sure don't act like him." And with that, I walk away, ignoring everything behind me.
