MARIAH'S POV
I woke up after what I assumed was a few minutes but it was actually approximately 7 hours. I was in a strange bed. It was like a bunk. I looked to my left and saw a tiny curtain. I pulled it back and saw a wooden surrounding. The floor was a shiny kind of wood. It smelled like berries and maybe a little bit of sweat. Where the fuck am I?
Then I remembered Andy. Am I at his place or his bus, or wherever he lives?
"Hey you're awake!" I heard his deep voice boom. It echoed throughout the bunk area.
"Hey, where Am I?" I asked kind of timidly. I hoped he wasn't kidnapping me. I kind of laughed at the thought, Andy doesn't seem like the type of guy to do such a thing
"I brought you to my bus, you looked so peaceful when you slept, and I didn't want to wake you up, so I carried you in and put you in a bunk."
"Thanks Andy" I said with a warm smile. He smiled back.
"If you want, you can take a shower, the bathrooms through there, I'm sure some of my clothes will fit you."
"Thanks, but I don't want to intrude, I already took your bunk" I said.
"You're fine, and besides it's not my bunk, it's Jinxx's, and I insist you take a shower."
"Is that your way of saying I stink" I asked with a laugh.
"Trust me, I live with Jinxx, you smell like Roses compared to him" he laughed.
"Ok, I'll take a shower."
Andy went to what I'm assuming was the closet area and brought me out Batman shorts and a batman tank top.
I snickered at the choice of clothing, which earned me a glare from Andy, which made me laugh even more.
"Don't diss BatMan!" He said with fake anger. I couldn't help but laugh at the little pouty face he put on. Soon, he was laughing to. This was the most fun I've had in a long time. The fact that this will end soon deeply saddened me. My smile immediately fell to a frown.
"Hey what's wrong"
"Nothing, just thinking." I said as a tear fell. Soon, I'll have to go back to the bridge. I'll never see them again. I quickly ran to the bathroom before Andy could ask anymore questions.
I got in after I adjusted the water and relaxed into the steam. I tried not to think of the future, and have fun with the present. After my shower, I got out and dried off. I put in the cloths on. I walked out and Andy was still standing.
"Come on out and I'll introduce you to the rest of the band."
I just nodded and took his hand. He led me out to what appeared to be the living area. I saw four guys all dressed in black except for one who was in All white. He looked famillar. He was shorter than the rest of them, but he was still attractive.
"Ok guys this is Mariah. Mariah this is Ashley" He said pointing to a guy who was shirtless and had a tattoo on his abdomen the said "OUTLAW" In a western type font. He winked at me. So he's that guy.
"This is Jake" he said pointing to a guy with awesome hair.
"This is CC." he said pointing to a taller guy, but not as tall as Andy. CC ran up, grabbed me, and swung me around.
"Alright Chuppy, put her down" I heard Andy say. I silently thanked him, it's not that I didn't like the hug, but he was squishing my lungs. I smiled at CC.
"And this ones Jinxx" he said pointing to the shortest one. He smiled at me and I could have swore I was going to faint. He was so adorable.
"Hey" jinxx said. I responded with a hi and a smile.
"You know we don't bite, you can come sit" I heard, I think Ashley say. The only spot open was between CC and Jinxx.
I slowly made my way over, and sat down.
"So Mariah, where are you from?" Jinxx asked.
"I'm from Iowa, you?"
"That's awesome! Me to"
After that we put in BatMan, which Andy suggested. Halfway through The Dark Night, I felt tired. I dosed off on someone's shoulder. I didn't know whose it was, but I felt like I was safe, like nothing could hurt me. I Involuntarily snuggled closer to the warm body beside me. I heard a small laugh and felt an arm go around my shoulder.
I felt myself being lifted and I was laid onto a soft surface. I felt the same small, warm body climb in next to me. I cuddled up to him immediately, almost like it was a reflex, something I did eveyday. I felt so warm, so safe, so welcome, but most importantly I felt loved.
With that thought, I fell into a deep sleep, and for the first time in forever, I didn't have nightmares.
