ANDY'S POV

We've been traveling for a while now. We are on our way back to the hospital to pick up Mariah. The guys were talking about miscellaneous things while i was thinking about everything. How could we have been so horrible to her? We acted like she never existed, i don't even think we realized what we were doing, we're such jerks!

"Andy, are you alright man?' I heard Ashley say. "We treated her like shit guys."

"We know, We need to make it up to her somehow, I never thought we would be the bosses from hell."

With that no one said a word, the bus ended up in a ambiguous silence where no one knew what the others were thinking. One think was for sure, Mariah as definitely one of the thoughts on all of our minds. We were 39 minutes away from the hospital and  a part of me was very anxious. What if she never forgives us? Another part of me had a very bad feeling. The last half hour went by uneventfully and before we knew it, we were back at the hospital. We walked in and went to her room.

We were not expecting to find her room vacant with no sign of Mariah. We went to the front desk.

"Do you happen to know where Mariah went?"

"You mean the girl that was in room 223?" I simply nodded my head, awaiting the whereabouts of my friend, if she even wanted to be considered that anymore. The nurse kept typing away at her keyboard as I was awkwardly standing there.

"She checked herself out approximately 30 minutes ago." My eyes widened.

"WHAT?! Did she say where she was going?" I said, my voice raising with every word, seemingly scaring the shit out of the front desk nurse.

"She said she was going to a friend's house, I told her you guys were coming back, but she didn't believe me, I'm sorry, I wasn't able to hold her here. The doctor gave permission for her to keave, so it was my job to get her signed out." The nurse said, seeming tense.

"We are her only friends! She was homeless before us! Shit, she's probably back on the streets. Where do you think she would have went?" I spoke calmly as to not scare the nurse any more then necessary.

The nurse explained that to the right of the hospital was a dead end, so it was unlikely she would get that far going that way. There was nothing in front or in back of the hospital, so she probably didn't go that way, which means she probably walked left after leaving the front door. I kindly thanked the nurse and ran back out to the bus, trying not to waste anymore time in finding Mariah.

MARIAH'S POV

I walked to the left of the hospital figuring that all other directions would turn up futile in terms of resources or sleeping places. I walked for 45 minutes before I sat down on the pavement thinking. Do the guys miss me? Did they even know I went missing? Will I ever get off of the streets? Where is my prince charming, my happy ending? I mentally scolded myself for thinking the guys would miss me or look for me. Maybe I was destined for this life. I must have really fucked up in my past life if i was awarded a life like this.

After a 15 minute break, I got up and started walking again. I just walked the same direction the whole time being careful as I walked alone on deserted areas. I was anxious as the sun was beginning to set and darkness would soon fall. Another lonely night on the streets of some random city. I didn't even know what state I was in.

I walked and walked until I found a restaurant. I didn't have any money, but I needed a warm place to sit because the night chill was beginning to make my arms numb, causing goosebumps to rise on my skin. I hoped that whoever working wouldn't make me leave, because if I had to sleep outside, i would probably freeze to death.

I walked into the diner and seated myself. I didn't realize how tired I was until my eyes began to droop. I also came to the realization that I hadn't eaten real food in days. I sighed, I miss my bunk. I was mistreated emotionally with the guys, yes, but the bed was comfortable and all my savings were underneath my pillow. Come to think of it, the bus was one sense of stability I had in my life and now that to was gone and probably would not come back.

I remembered first meeting them and how nice they were. How welcome they made me feel, and then everything went to shit. Was it just stress that made them angry or were they always assholes and never showed it until I was an employee? A part of me wishes that they would look for me. A part of me still thought of them as friends even though they were mean to me. I shouldn't have left the hospital, maybe they tried to come back for me and found nothing, but an empty bed.

After 5 minutes of thinking, a thin waitress who was absolutely gorgeous came to ask me what I wanted to eat. I said I didn't have any money and that I didn't want anything. Her name tag said Cheyanne. She was really nice and returned a few minutes later with a glass of water and some kind of sandwich. She said that the meal was on the house and that she understood what it was like to be poor. I simply nodded my thanks, not feeling the need to use words and began eating.

ANDY'S POV

I ran on the bus and explained everything to the bus driver and the guys. We set off and began looking for Mariah.

"Wow, we really fucked up, didn't we?" CC whispered, which was weird because he was the one that was always trying to lighten the mood. Even Jon admitted that the guys and I were absolutely the worse bosses ever and that if we found her, she deserved a raise because she "had to deal with your guys' shit" as Jon so nicely put it.

We drove for about an hour when we decided to eat at a diner. The place looked like a family owned and had a comfortable vibe to it. The place only had one waitress and she was currently waiting on someone on the other side of the wall as the cook explained.

The waitress came shortly after and her cheeks looked tear stained. She was absolutely stunning though and believe me, Ashley definitely noticed. I rolled my eyes at his attempts to flirt with the waitress who introduced herself as Cheyanne. She took our orders and brought our food to us when it was done. She cleaned up our stuff and we paid. We asked if we could park the bus in the parking lot for the night. she said it was no problem and we left to the bus. We were going to, obviously, camp out in the parking lot of the diner, hoping that Mariah would decide she was hungry and would find this diner. It seemed like a futile plan, but I refused to give up.

We would find her again, This I promised myself.
