The Finally

This is it! The end, the grand finally, the finish, the...goodbye? Anyway, I know it took me awhile to publish this, I thought the last chapter would be the last one. So please enjoy the final departing of this book.

Lucy's POV

The guild was a crazy mess, everyone was screaming and crying, but completely happy. All were crowded around two people, me and Natsu. I could see again and they knew that, but they also saw Natsu and I walk in holding hands, apparently for the "second" time. They were congratulating us, man its like we got engaged,or something! After what seemed like forever they all cleared and started to do the "Fairy Tail Ritual" of drinking and partying over anything, big or small.

"I am starved! Be back Luce!" Natsu ran of with Happy close on his heals.

Staring of into space I heard a more familiar voice tug at my sleeve, looking I saw Levy. She was crying, joyful tears. But that didn't stop me from wanting to know the reason.

"Levy, what happened?!" I held her hands.

She smiled and sobbed, trying to make words but they wouldn't seem to form into anything understandable.

"Gl...sd...mod...su...hy..."

"Hey, hey take it slow." I giggled at her state.

She took a deep breath and suddenly spit out.

"Gajeel just asked me out! Well...sort of. He was all," she tried to do an impression of him. Her voice low, arms crossed and face stern. "'Shrimp, no one else is going to like you so I might as well.' Then he asked me dinner!" She exclaimed, letting out the breath she was holding.

I paused for a second, then let out a shrill scream hugging her as tight as possible.

"I knew it, I just knew it! Congrats!"

"Lucy! Whats going on?" Natsu barreled through the crowd toward me. "I heard you scream."

"What? Oh, no I was just excited." I reassured him.

"No way, I mixed up your laughed from your scream?!" He pointed a finger at me in horror.

"Hey! Its not that bad! I wasn't really laughing..."

"Oh, I though so because I really like your laugh." He put his hands behind his head and chuckled.

I could feel the blush creeping up my cheeks, oh how I wish I could push it back down.

"But what did you scream about?" He asked innocently.

Freezing I looked to Levy for permission, she nodded, blushing a bit. I smiled back at her.

"Well Levy told me that Gajeel and her are together now."

Natsu's face was blank, wondering when the "exciting" part of the story would come.

"And?"

"What do you mean 'and'?! That's great news!" I rested my hands on my hips.

"Oh, well. Great job you two!" He smiled at Levy, obviously still not understanding. "But, Lucy, I have something to show you!"

"Its still the middle of the afternoon! And we just got here." I wined.

But Natsu didn't care, he just pulled me and dragged me out of the guild. He had even left Happy behind!

Just for fun Natsu had blind-folded me, now that I was used to it for so long I wasn't tripping or stumbling and had complete faith in Natsu. Though one time in the week he did slam me into a pole, but it was an accident.

Then he suddenly stopped, slowly removing the blind-fold. The light reviled a huge beautiful field, with long luscious golden grass, the wind blew in my face blowing my hair in my face. I knew I had never seen this amazing place before, yet it all seemed so familiar.

"Don't you remember?" Natsu asked flashing his pearly grin. "This was the field I took you to the day after we got back from the mission."

My eyes widened, closing my eyes and opening all my other senses. It was just like the past time he had took me here, I just never knew how beautiful it actually was.

Instead of running around like last time just flopped down into the long wheat as it swayed in the breeze, my whole body hidden from the rest of the world in the grass. Natsu laid down next to me, the grass making short walls, only the clear sapphire sky was visible. It was so peaceful and with Natsu at my side everything was...perfect.

Natsu twirled a piece of hay in his mouth like a farmer as he laid oh his side, head on his hand propped up by his elbow.

"You know. We could stay like this."

I turned my head and simply stared at him, I could swear I saw him blushing!

"Happy really enjoys staying staying with you and so do I. So maybe we could stay like this even though you don't need it. You know because I love you and I need you. I don't want to leave you, I don't know why but it makes me really sad just thinking about having to leave..." He was practically crying at the end but was cut off by me. I couldn't let him go through with what he was saying. Even though we were lying down in the middle of a field with no one around, I didn't care I hugged that idiot.

"What are you talking about? All you had to do was ask, of course you can stay!" Tears escaping my eyes. I wouldn't tell him, but I really didn't want him to leave either.

As shocked as I was he hugged my back, bringing me into his lap and forcing his lips onto mine. A mixed feeling of fear, confusion, shock and joy flooded me and I taken to another world where rent, magic, good, bad or pain doesn't exist just Natsu. A world filled with just one thing and that one thing was the only thing I needed, and would ever need ever again.
