For a while the incident was the talk of the campus, and dude who helped me avoided me at all costs during class. I just wanted to thank him, but didn't want to give him the satisfaction of thinking he saved me. I got my phone back from Elle and unblocked Yuri, because I definitely wasn't tempted to text or call this man. My phone started buzzing rapidly making me look down, of course, Yuri! After all of this, he still was reaching out.
Travis Scott, Sicko Mode, blasted from my phone letting me know Elle was calling.
"Hello!"
"Hey girl, what's up."
"Nothing, Yuri still hitting this liinnnnneeeeeeeee. Girl he has to be stopped," I moaned.
"Well change your number sis," Elle said.
"But I love this number," I whined.
"Bitch cut it out! Change that damn number and come on! I'm in the parking lot."
I sighed, " Fine!" I grabbed my things and walked to the parking lot. It was the beginning of fall break and it was sure to be an epic week of pure fun. I was caught up on my school work, and submitted all of my applications for internships. I was good, and didn't want to hear shit about school until our return date. Since it wasn't nothing to do here, Elle and I was going to one of the hottest college vacay spots during fall break, New Orleans.
I made it to Elle's all white Range Rover. "Damn I'm tired!"
"Tired of what?" Elle said while smacking on her twizzlers.
"Girl-" I was about to vent until I saw the dude's car, how could I forget? He almost flatlined me. I reached over Elle and beeped her Horn, but he kept walking. I pressed on it again and then he stopped.
Elle shoved me, "Bitxh what are you doing? Calm Down!"
"Girl it's him!" I hopped out the car and sped walk over to him, "Hey! Hold up!"
He turned and made eye contact with me. I slowed my pace because a bitch was really out of shape. As I made it up to him I took in his overwhelming beauty. His flawless chocolate skin was flawless against the light of the sun, and he looked so good in his simple fit.
"I want to thank you," I said shyly.
"For what?" he asked.
"For helping me out with my ex," I said. We never broke eye contact, but I grew intimidated under his gaze.
"Yea Yea Yea, my bad. No man should be putting his hands on a woman like that, it's just not right."
"Yea well he's a bit possessive, although we are not together. It's almost weird," I spoke. I made sure to subliminally clarify that I was single. Something drew me to this man, and it was strong. I wanted to shoot my shot, but I didn't want to be forward. I wanted to make this fun, and capture his attention. He just doesn't know he wants me yet.
"Well, you should get a restraining order against him ma," he said. I caught him peeping my body, lowkey checking me out.
"Yes, perhaps you're right," I said.
"Look not to seem like I'm rushing you, but I gotta get on the road," he said.
"Hm, big road trip for fall break?" I wanted to keep this conversation going long enough to atleast leave an imprint on his memory.
"Yea, and since New Orleans is the move this fall break I want to beat traffic," he said.
I was about to talk until Elle blasted her funky ass horn, " Come on Girl! Damn we trying to beat this traffic! I need some Gumbo shit!"
"Gumbo? Oh! Ya'll heading to N.O. too?" he asked.
"Yea, a lil girls trip ya know!" I said a bit too excited.
"Aite well maybe we will be able to finish this conversation if we run into each other ma," he said. He turned on his heels and walked off. I stood there shocked, and now that I had my eyes on him I had to repack my whole suitcase. I needed to look bomb as hell in New Orleans. Hopefully we cross paths.
I walked back over to Elle's truck and slid in the passenger with a big smile.
"Fuck you smiling for?"
"Girl I think I just met my soul mate," I gushed.
"Girl! The nigga that almost killed yo ass a few weeks ago," Elle asked with a grin.
"Yep bitch! He has knocked me right off my feet."
Elle cackled while smacking, "Literally."
We pulled off headed to Elle's place so I could repack. My adrenaline was on ten, and I was about to show my natural ass in New Orleans.
