Chapter 27 + Chapter 28 (Ending.)

Yuzu gasped "Th-The ring!"

She surely didn't expect for Mei to show her the ring... Or even have it.

Mei sighed, looking at the ring, shining in the rain "Yes, I just had a feeling in my gut that I had to find it."

She smiled at Yuzu who stared at her for a moment and continued "I guess I know why I had that feeling."

Yuzu was happy and speechless.

Mei held out the ring toward Yuzu looking away and shutting her eyes in embarrassment.

"Will you-" Mei started.

Yuzu jumped on her and hugged her "Of course I will!"

"I didn't even say the whole sentence yet."

Yuzu whispered in her ear "I knew what you were going to say."

She started laughing which was confusing for Mei.

Yuzu talked with Yuniko about everything.

Everything just poured out of her.

After she was done talking, she muttered "You're probably disgusted with me right now." and looked away.

Yuzu felt a warmth on her hand.

She looked up at Yuniko who placed her hand on hers and looked into her blue eyes.

Yuniko faintly smiled. A warm one.

The warmest one Yuzu had ever seen from Yuniko so far.

"I don't think... that there's anything wrong with loving somebody." Yuniko so quietly, Yuzu had to lean in.

It made Yuzu so relieved.

So happy.

Yuzu leaped on her, bear hugging her, nearly making both of them fall.

"Thank you, Yuniko!" Tears welled up in Yuzu's eyes. "Thank you for accepting me!"

Yuniko gently rubbed her back, saying nothing.

Yuzu was at home with Mei now but they knew they had to tell grandfather.

"What is the meaning of this!?" a person shouted in a room.

Yuzu guessed it was grandfather since Mei agreed to tell him.

She entered the room with grandfather and Mei.

"Yuzu! Would you tell me why the marriage proposals are canceled?! Udagawa and Yuniko ASKED ME to get it canceled!"

"..." Yuzu looked down at the floor.

Mei was about to say something when somebody was leaning at the doorway.

End of chapter 27.

It was Mei's father, Shu (I think? I forgot.)

"That's their decision to make." He said, calmly.

Shu walked to their daughters and put one hand on each of their shoulders.
