Prologue

The Shedding of Her Past

Back then when Y/n was just the age of  9, no one knows what happened to her and Toni's parents, at that point they lived with their grandfather. Fp helped out and took her in, at that point she wanted to be strong and protect her sister since Toni was 2 at the time. Through the years she pretty much became a pupil to FP, him teaching everything she needed to know, street-smart knowledge. By the time she was 14 she became a member of the Serpents, though the one thing she didn't do was the Serpents dance since she seemed a bit young for that. No one messed with her not just because she knew the tough guys, she was a tough one and the others weren't scared of her, they were scared of who ever was being beaten by her. Though, at the same time she was loved by the gang, she was like the fairest of them all, like a princess. The name they call her aside from "Serpent Princess", is Flurry, they call her that because she can be both sweet but cold. When y/n was 16 she finally got her serpent tattoo but for her, she had it cover her whole entire back, it was beautiful, though it wasn't the exact serpent symbol but it represented her so well, the serpent with detail and elegance. Toni was 9 and didn't have to worry about a thing because she had he big sister around. As far as they all knew, everything was good. Until one day Y/n realized her life was never going to be the same again.
   One of the serpent gang members were jumped by some ghoulies at night, putting him in a coma. A few nights later, y/n got herself drunk and decided to leave towards home. Stumbling upon the way back, she took a usual shortcut. The sound of giggles could be heard ahead of her, as she got closer to see past the blur of squinting her eyes that's when she found herself in the path of a Ghoulie. They weren't supposed to be on serpent territory which meant that he was the one who hurt that other member.
"You seem a little-intoxicated there sweet. Need help?" The man smiled widely and began taking his steps towards her.
"You're the ghoulie who hurt him." Y/n mumbling lowly. The ghoulie stepped a bit closer.
"What was that?"
"I said you're the ghoulie who hurt one of our own!" She exclaimed.
The broad ghoulie grinned wide, "I have no clue what you're talking about sweetheart. But I wouldn't mind taking you on." He licked his lips slowly making his way towards her. Y/n couldn't get much distance away from how unstable she was. As the man closed the distance between them she stumbles back and falls to the hard cold ground, the ghoulie took this chance and straddled her pinning her down. Y/n opened her mouth to scream for help but before she could let any noise escape, her mouth was covered. Struggling to fight him off, his mass was too great for her, he wasn't going to budge. Thoughts that this could be it for her were overflowing in her head. All sights of her vision began to darken from the lack of air she was restrained from getting from the man's hand wrapped tightly around her throat, he used his other open hand to undo the button and zipper of Y/n's pants. Before he could remove the denim off her body, in a quick motion, the Ghoulie was yanked off and took a hard punch to the face.
Someone came to her rescue defending her from the predator who crossed the wrong side of town. Y/n was still trying to grasp onto air as her conscious was returning to her. She stood up and saw the two men fighting, her head was still a bit foggy from the alcohol but once the man who saved her came into clear views she froze. It was the gang leader himself, FP.

FP managed to get several good hits on the ghoulie but the man still managed to beat him in in size.
"Y/N! Go get out of here!" FP commanded, then he was knocked to the floor, he sprung back up and took out his switchblade from his pocket in hopes of to possibly scare the man off, but his grin appears again and lunged towards FP. Y/n gasps in horror as she still is unable to move frozen from the sight of FP being bested by his opponent. His body was slammed against the brick wall knocking all the air from him, he loses grip on his knife and it slips onto the ground, he was flung onto the ground as well getting punches to his face. Y/n soul ached seeing FP like this, as she just stands there continuing on with seeing all of this happen in front of her. She's never had cold feet in her life but this was different like a force was preventing her from doing anything. Tears started to form in her eyes, she then took what FP said and tried to get out of there, maybe if she was fast enough she could get help. But the words of the serpent Laws crossed her mind 'A serpent never shows cowardice/ No Serpent stands alone'
FP was begging to lose consciousness, if this were to go any further he could die. Y/n thought quick, she pinpoints the knife FP dropped and she hurriedly stumbles towards it she picks it up and without a second thought she tackles the Ghoulie and with no hesitation, she swung the knife across his chest drawing blood, she knew that wouldn't stop him, the thoughts filled her mind of their serpent member that was in the hospital where the man beneath her placed him. For what he was going to do to her and FP he deserved what was coming, he flinched to move the girl off of him but as a reaction, she violently thrashes his upper abdomen piercing everywhere she could on the chest. Y/n was losing control of her actions, continuously shouting and stabbing the now lifeless body beneath her.
