The woman has absolutely no background details or connections to other people or events. She is simply "someone who just happened to see a recruitment flyer at a station, applied and got accepted into the job, and somehow ended up getting taken into the Chaldea Security Organization." She is acting as a newly established Master candidate of Chaldea whose only purpose is shoring up numbers.

Alias: Shielder

She is a Shielder-class Servant contracted with Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders. Mash works at the Chaldea Security Organization. She was originally assigned as one of the forty-eight Chaldea Master Candidates, as well as leading A-team for the "Spatial Singularity F" expedition.

Name: Jeanne d'Arc

Alias: Ruler/The Maiden of Orleans

Ruler's True Name is Jeanne d'Arc, the Saint of Orleans. A Catholic saint born in Domrémy, France, and the heroine of France who liberated Orléans in the Hundred Years' War. Jeanne d'Arc was a common farmer's daughter. She claims she had received the command of God to fight. She heard the Lord's lament that the world changed straight into hell. The Lord wept into sorrow as no one could stop it and people were not even allowed to live simply and were compelled to become either beasts or food. Conflict never ended, and blood continued to rain incessantly and soak the land. She received a revelation from the Lord, the voice contained no glory or victory, no obligation or sense of purpose but only the Lord laments. She caught his small, feeble murmurs that everyone else failed to hear.

Alias: Avenger/The Dragon Witch

Avenger's True Name is Jeanne d'Arc (Alter), also known as Jeanne Alter, the Altered version of Jeanne d'Arc. Although designated an Alter, it does not mean that she is a different aspect of Jeanne d'Arc. A Jeanne of vengeance that Gilles de Rais, the French Army's marshal who grieved for Jeanne d'Arc's death, fabricated by means of the Holy Grail shortly after the execution of Jeanne in 1431. As a Heroic Spirit that is an exact opposite of the proper Jeanne, she is manifesting in the Avenger Class. Since the proper Jeanne is not a hero, but a saint, the possibility of "summoning a different aspect of her" is nil. Because this black Jeanne has Gilles de Rais' anger... the prejudices and wishes for her to be like that... mixed in with her fundamental parts, a "side" that should never happen ended up being brought to the surface. As such, one can think that this Jeanne d'Arc is mostly made up by Gilles de Rais' prejudices; an existence encapsulating much of the corrupted Gilles' biases and feelings. The Dragon Witch that resurrected for the sake of getting vengeance against France. A holy woman who talks about justice as if she owned the place and, without having any doubts about that, is spurred on by the wrath against the people; that is the form which Gilles de Rais wished her to be like.

The protagonist of this story, the sole heir of Lucis throne and son of the 114th King of Lucis, Noctis. Labeled as the brilliant King of Lucis, he manages to surpass his ancestor achievement by making the Niflheim, their sworn enemy bow to him. He is a brilliant tactician and fearless fighter. Many people claim that he is the best fighter in the Lucis Kingdom. Everyone in the land of Eos knows his name. At the age of twenty-five, he takes the throne after his father and already masters the power of the Lucii ring. He leads the Lucis Kingdom with wisdom and patience. Accompanied by his most trusted people and the Oracle from Tenebrae, he manages to bring down Niflheim to its last leg. Forcing them to surrender.
