❁ 14. Safe, yet lost

Klaus arrived the old farm house quickly, thanks to the bond that he and Olivia shared. He found her covered in blood inside the farm house, fighting with Alexis. He immediately broke her neck and then faced Olivia who didn't look good. "They're not here." Olivia whispered and Klaus nodded knowingly. "They are safe. They are home..." He said and when Olivia realized what she did she froze and looked around. "It's okay." Klaus said and then brought her and Alexis back to the compound.

Klaus and Freya immediately locked the vampire in a room, so that she couldn't hurt anyone anymore. Olivia stayed in the courtyard where she sat down on the ground, watching the wall. "Hey, how about we get you new fresh clothes? And a nice shower to wash the blood off your body. Hmm? It would feel a lot better than this, wouldn't it?" Keelin asked after a while after she kneeled down to Olivia. The immortal revilas looked up and slowly nodded. Olivia got up and she and Keelin went upstairs in her bedroom.

"Keelin is looking after Olivia. She doesn't look quite good, to be honest, Klaus." Davina said when Freya and Klaus arrived the courtyard again. "I know." Klaus said and then looked around. As it seems Elijah was still with Hayley, probably looking after her. And Hope seemed still to be with Amaya, which relieved Klaus. "I want someone to watch Alexis. I'd do it myself but Olivia and Camille are more important to me right now." He announced and then went upstairs again to look after them.

Camille was sitting at the window, she stared out of it in trance. The vampire was thinking about all the things that has happened in the last few days. How Scarlett lured her out and broke her neck to bring her to that house. How she tortured her for information about Klaus. Secrets that Scarlett wanted to know but Camille kept being silent through it all. Camille heard the footsteps behind the door and then the door opening and she tilted her head to it.

"I don't believe for a second that they were able to get inside your head." Klaus said after a while and he sat down next to her. "How can you be so sure?" The woman asked and Klaus looked into her eyes. "Because you have lived through much worse things. You became even stronger since then." He said and Camille attempted to smile. "Thank you. Now, how's Olivia?" She asked and Klaus sighed. "Still consumed by her darker self, I assume." Camille looked up confused. "Then why are you here?" She asked and Klaus now smirked.

"Well, if I know one thing about this then it's that I should not interfere with this side of hers. Sooner or later she realizes what's she done and that's when I interfere. Before she falls apart." Camille thought about his words before sighing. "Not really healthy, isn't it? As the therapist of the both of you, I am allowed to say that this isn't ending well, if she's not learning to control this. More than since you two have a child together, Klaus. Olivia is-" Before Camille could continue both of them heard a familiar scream that was tearing through the compound. "- a danger even to her worst enemies as it appears." The two got up to check on the revilas. Olivia seemed more than just out of control.

"I will tear you apart." Olivia threathened and the Mikaelsons entered the room to see that Olivia was choking Alexis. "You can certainly try." Alexis choked and Olivia's eyes felt in the unfamiliar blue tone as she held Alexis close. "Olivia, let her go." Klaus said and in the next second he broke her off the vampire. Olivia growled before she lunged forward but by then another person appeared out of nowhere to break Alexis' neck and pin Olivia to the nearest wall.

"Control yourself!" Sophia roared and flashed her eyes at her Queen. "Now!" She added in her rage and Olivia's eyes went back to normal. "I will hereby leave the sacred ground to find peace in another." Olivia whispered and closed her eyes. "I will let you go and you will go to your sacred ground. Do you understand? I want you to find peace again." Sophia voiced and slowly let her go. Olivia nodded and then walked out of the room.

Sophia took a deep breath before she turned around to the Mikaelsons with a smile. "Seems we got ourself a new-" Her eyes went to the temporary dead vampire on the ground and she stopped. "Oh my god." She whispered and kneeled down to looked at her face. "Alexis." Sophia voiced and then her eyes darted up to Klaus, before she swiftly got up.

[ Olivia ]

I walked out of compound and into the woods to find the place where I could be safe and in peace. When I saw the meadow and the dying flowers I sighed and sat down on the grass. "I hereby commit my soul to the brightest of stars to overcome my shadows. I wish to be accepted by my ancestors." I said with a strong and the next thing I feel are my eyes and hands glowing. The stones from my necklace glowed, too. "Goodbye, my loves. I will always be with you." I whispered my last thought to Klaus and then my body fell to the ground.

I gasped when I woke up next to my sleeping mother. I immediately got up and looked around. It looked like our safe house. The one in London. The one Klaus showed me after we got married. I smiled in awe. It looked older like the house I saw but it was still beautiful.

When my mother woke up I went upstairs to my old room and closed the door slowly. "You'll have to do better than that, sweetheart." A voice behind me said and I turned around to my mother. "Why are you even here, Olivia? What's wrong?" That was the moment I bursted out into tears. "I- I can't do it anymore, Mom. I- I'm not able to- to be a good revilas anymore or a- a good wife or mother to my daughter- I just can't... My... my powers are overwhelming me and- and I'm scared." My mother threw her arms around my body and then held me close to herself. "Why? What's happening with your powers?" She asked and we sat on my old bed and I sobbed and tried to swallow it.

"I gave into them, Mom. I- I wanted to kill and I wanted to let it out. And I did..." I whispered and I suddenly felt so ashamed of myself. I changed so much. I just realized it. "You killed before, darling. And that's not bad. You were a Queen to a whole nation. You had to stay alive." My mother said and I looked up. "But I'm not a Queen anymore. I'm just Olivia, now." I answered and my mother smirked.

"Yes. You are Olivia Grace Hale... Mikaelson. Mother to Amaya. Wife to Nik. And the last living Queen of Meridial. Do you really believe that you'll ever go back to being just Olivia? You, my daughter, are everything I ever wanted you to be. You are an amazing mother to Amaya. And Klaus helps you whenever you got something, right? How could you think that he couldn't help you?" She voiced and I sighed. "Maybe because he is not a revilas." I softly said and sighed.

"I've taught him everything about our kind. Do you really, really think that he wouldn't understand you? Your magical little problems? Where are Sophia and Sara anyway?" She asked and I took deep breaths as I wiped my dry tears off my cheeks. "I've sent them away as soon as I realized that we had a new enemy. I didn't want them to get into the crossfire."

"Alexis." My mother said and I rose my eyebrow. "What did you say?" I asked and she got from the bed to pace around.

"Mom!" I exclaimed when she continued to stay silent. She swiftly turned around to me and placed her hands on my shoulders. "I knew her. Alexis." She admitted and I looked up into her eyes. Shocked. "I was the one who killed her. Not Klaus. It was me. I did it, because she was around too often and she caught up a few informations about me and the Mikaelsons. I've had to do something." My mother defended her actions and I stept backwards.

Then I growled and before I knew it I slapped her across the face. "I deserved this." She murmured and I growled deeply. "My own daughter got abducted by that psycho! Hayley was nearly killled. They even got to Klaus! Who knows what they've done to them? Because you killed her!" I yelled and in the next moment I felt a power trying to hold onto me.

"What is this?" She asked and I looked down to my hands. "No... no, no, no... They are trying to get a hold on me." I suddenly saw glimpses of Amaya, Klaus & Davina. They were trying to get a hold of my magic, to pull me back into the living world. Seems like Klaus found my body.

"Go back!" Mom suddenly said and I looked up to her. "I can't!" I answered and she flashed her eyes at me. "I won't let you die, Olivia. I love you, darling. I love you both." She said and then she magically pushed me out of this kind of afterlife. "Mom!" I exclaimed and she smiled at me before she said with a fading voice, "I will always be with you."
