Puppy Love - Kuroko Tetsuya x Reader

Note - (d/b) means dog breed.

'blah blah' means that you're thinking.

Nigou will be Kuroko's dog, and #2 will be your dog. Both words mean the same, but I need to distinguish between the two names.

Running throughout the streets, nearly in tears, you frantically searched every nook and cranny. 'Don'tpanicdon'tpanicdon'tpanic!' 

You were searching for your lost puppy. Somehow she always managed to find a way outside and get under the fence. The little dog often did this to you, only to return in the span of a day or two. However, it's been five days since you've last seen her, and now you were incredibly worried. Especially because it was getting dark.

"M-maybe she's at the pet store. Hahaha, she does enjoy the chew toys there... The owners must have accidently locked her in there, it happened once before." You were talking and trying to make excuses of what possibly had happened in an attempt to reassure yourself. "Agh! No, of course she wouldn't be there! I already looked for my dog at the pet store!" Pulling your hair now, you were surprised when you turned around abruptly to search another area, only to see big (e/c) eyes and a rolling tongue sticking out.

"(F/n) #2!" Your eyes sparkled. She was back here, safe and sound. She even appeared to be quite happy and healthy, completely at ease with the stranger holding her out to you. Wait, a stranger?!?!? Jumping back a bit, you had just realized that there was a light blue haired boy standing behind your puppy.

"Um, miss, I'm guessing this is your dog?" He asked calmly, gently handing (F/n) #2 over to you.

"Yes! Thank you so much, I'd been looking for #2 for hours now!" You bowed repeatedly 

to him.

"Ah, there's no need to be so appreciative. It was kind of my fault in the first place. For some reason your dog had been following me around town. I thought she was a stray, so I took her in." 

Staring at your (d/b), you swore in your head. She must have bitten through her collar again. "Oh, I'm sorry for making you take care of her. I hope she didn't cause any trouble."

"No, it's fine. She got along really well with Nigou." He stated, gesturing towards the Alaskan Malamute at his feet. The dog barked in acknowledgement.

"Nigou...?" Looking over, you were shocked to see that his puppy sported the same color eyes as the boy. Studying the teen and his puppy closely, you mused, 'Huh, guess #2 wasn't as creative name as I'd thought'. You could tell that the boy was a bit amused at the similarity between you and your #2 as well.

"My name is Kuroko Tetsuya. It's nice to meet you." The boy said, holding out his hand.

"Ah, I'm (Full name) and it's my pleasure, Kuroko-san." You smiled and shook his hand. You could tell that this would be the start of a beautiful friendship. Staring into his deep aqua blue eyes, you got slightly lost in them. Snapping out of it, you thanked him once more and stated that you were going to go home.

Kuroko insisted on walking you there because it was getting late, so you two took the trek home, with the two puppies racing each other ahead. Arriving at your house, you bid him farewell, closing the door. You and Kuroko didn't notice the longing looks in Nigou and #2's eyes as the door slammed shut.

A week had passed since you met Kuroko. You hadn't seen him again, and oddly, you felt a bit disappointed for some reason. #2 wasn't so cheerful either, she only stayed in the corner of the room, whimpering. Her (e/c) eyes dulled a bit, and it was weird, since she was normally a very happy puppy.
