FOUR BABIES

Here I am in this hospital bed, waiting to see my children. Today, actually just twenty minutes ago, I gave birth to some children. I say "some" because I honestly don't know how many I really had. Odd, right? I know, try telling that to the hospital nurses and doctors.

I hear footsteps outside of the hospital room that I am currently in. The doorknob turns and the door itself creaks open. A nurse then steps in.

"Mrs. Anderson, congratulations! You gave birth to ..."

(Three Months Earlier)

The ultrasound room smells funky. Kind of like a fruit smoothie mixed with flowers and laundry detergent. Here, in this room, I should get to know, not only the gender of my child, but also the quantity (the amount) in which I will be giving birth to in three months.

"Mrs. Anderson?" A doctor asks entering the room.

"Yes ma'am" I reply.

She walks over and applies the cool gel on my stomach and waves the wand over the gelled area. After about 2-3 minutes of studying the screen the doctor states " It seems to me that you will be having twins, a boy and a girl."

Excitement rushes through me, like a wave smoothing out over the beach sand. Me and my husband, Kode, had already picked out two girl names and two boy names.

The names we picked out were...

Mosiah, Josiah, Niah, and Myah. Aren't they cute?

Now we just need to decide which ones exactly to use.

(Back To Present)

"Mrs. Anderson, congratulations! You just gave birth to four babies!" My doctor, precisely Dr. Kamrick, exclaims. A smile spreading on her face like butter on bread.

My heart starts to explode. I'm not sure if its from excitement or fear or surprise. Probably all of the above. I love babies and all but I fear that I might not be able to provide for them all. I am, at the same time, highly surprised.

Didn't the ultrasound say that I was to have twins? I thought.

Just wait till I tell Kode...
