Finally I found her. It's surprisingly hard too find someone in this stupid place. High school the worst place in the world. In my opinion anyway. Well I suppose a normal high school would be OK but at Lavender Valley Academy it sucks. The school is run down and dirty, built in 1970. the building is I the shape of a flower and everything inside is an ugly gray or a sicking purple. That is except for one thing Quain Robertson the new girl in school. I don't really know her that well but me and my best friend in the entire world Renu Williams. We have a bet 50 dollars to who ever can become her boyfriend first. I know it sounds stupid and childish but she has been here for a month and hasn't shown any interest in any of the guys, or girls for that matter. The halls which were packed so tight it was impossible to move have cleared out a condritable amount. I walk over to Quain she is quite pretty she has silver hair that goes down to her waste and the prettiest purple eyes that always look sad. I walk up behind her.

“ Go away Grey I don't have time for your idiotic behavior today. You too Renu. Now if you will please let me by I would like to go home.” she said as she walked away.

“Dam Grey she won't even talk to us this is going to be more difficult than I thought.”

“Yea I think it is” I said watching her climb onto her purple motorbike and drive away.

Quain's POV

I drove home. If you could call it that home actually burnt down three years ago killing my parents and my little sister. I live with my aunt but she's never around so basicly I've been alone seance my second year of junior high. I'm a junior in high school now. It's lonely but it's better this way. I won't let anyone get close to me. I won't let anyone get hurt by me agine. I'll admit Grey makes it difficult there is something about him that intrigues me. Everyone else leaves me alone they don't notice me so why does he. Renu is another matter he doesn’t remember me I remember him.

flashback Quain's POV

The summer flower festival. I was there with violet my little sister. We heard something strange coming from an alley. Our parents weren't paying attention they were watching a magic show. We slipped away unnoticed and fallowed the sound to it's source. We found him there. Renu had another boy my best friend Axel pined to the ground punching him over and over. The young boy's face was bloody and bruised very badly. My sister violet screamed and ran. He turned and saw me. Something about about his eyes was different they seamed to glow instead of there usual chocolate brown they looked red. He got up walking t words me.

“such a pretty face it's a shame I have to kill you now.” he smiled and pulled a blade out from under his jacket. I ran tears poured from my eyes. I didn't make it very far maybe three feet. I fell cutting open my knees.

“hahaha foolish girl.” Renu said leaning towards me sword raised. I turned and shut my eyes if the end was coming I didn't want to know when. I huge a scream and opened my eyes. On the end of his sword was Axel. He pulled his sword out of Axel.

“My my my look at the mess you've made” he raised his blade to kill me when another boy ran around the corner. He was rather cute he had beautiful gray eyes and shaggy black hair. He looked at us and spoke

“Renu don't do anything you'll regret leave the girl go. I have something that would interest you much more.” he held up a small shiny object. Renu's eyes returned to normal and he walked a way like nothing had ever happen. Axel looked up at me and smiled.

“ live to do something amazing for me OK.” he smiled weekly up at me. I held his hand sobbing quietly

“ I will Axel I will I promise” I said crying.

“ I know you will Quain I know” his eyes started to close. He died smiling in my arms.

flash back end

1 week after Axel died my house burned down killing everyone else who mattered to me. I've been on my own seance then. Well at least I have you Athena. Shes my bird a raven she found me a couple years ago. She was in pretty bad shape but I nursed her back to health.

“what shall we have for supper Athena”

“Squack”

“pasta with sauce good choice my pet” I reach for the supplies. I'm blinded by a bright flash. Axel is standing in my kitchen. He looks my age he always was cute tall with messy brown hair and bright green eyes. I stand still too shocked to speak.

“Quain you have live poorly. Don't let me have died in vain. You have one year to be changed or you will die. I'm sorry Quain I really am”

with another flash he was gone.
