Steve woke up to the delightful smell of bacon and what he began to recognize as eggs. He got out of the bed he slept in, rubbing his eyes. He felt bad for some reason but not sick. And he felt like he was forgetting something, something important. But he shrugged it off before walking into the kitchen.
Notch had relaxed the aura of the heaven bubble they were in so Steve could actually stand it. So feeling bad was a possibility, but it began to quickly decimate especially when he was in Notch's presence.
Steve though began to have his mind become occupied with Herobrine as he sat down at the table.
"Good morning." He said with a smile."Ah, glad to see your awake. I'm just finishing up." He said as he looked back for a second to give his welcoming smile. It was clear Notch enjoyed some company, it made Steve wonder how he kept sane. Steve had cats and dogs, and villagers. But he didn't see any pets or people to learn a language from.
"I just want to let you know, I saw your dream last night. It was quite interesting. Do you remember it?" Notch asked as he plated the food.
"I don't remember it. But it felt good, before I woke up with a sour feeling. But that could have been morning sickness." Steve said as he adjusted the plate in front of him, Notch went and grabbed cups and set them on the table, and pulled out a pitcher of ice water from his fridge. "Could you tell me about my dream?" He asked curiously.
"Well, it was about you and another. How well do you remember or know Herobrine, my brother?" Notch asked as he sat down.
Steve went wide eyed before looking away and blushing, puffing out his cheeks. "I remember him all right. Y'all, strong, and demanding." Steve said with a huff and rolled his eyes.
"So, you met recently?" Notch asked curiously as he began to eat.
"Yes. Of course I was terrified of him at first for some reason. Rumors of him being a devil of sorts." He said and slowed to a pause as he began to think and furrowed his brows.
"Eat up, tell me more. I haven't seen my brother in what feels like a century, so I'm curious of what you think of him." Notch said.
Steve took a bite of food and began to tell Notch about how childish and picky he was with Steve. How Herobrine stuck about even as Steve was scared and pushed the male away. He told him how he was like a puppy as Steve got used to his presence while still being rude.
Notch listened as Steve slowly told a tale, clearly leaving out some things. He saw Steve's memories, but he wouldn't let Steve know he saw what he and his brother did. Sure he saw it as Herobrine doing himself, and it was strange. But he wasn't his brother, he was open minded.
"But after a while he wasn't scary, and I forgot why he was." Steve said with a shrug as he finished his food. "Do you have anyone to talk to here?" Steve questioned.
"Well Yes. From time to time I actually go out to the villages in the area disguised as a player and not as Notch. And I'll sit down with them and have chatts. Most can't understand them but even I had to learn the language." He said with a chuckle.
"You did? But didn't you make it?" Steve asked.
"No, I have them the ability to make noises and to speak. But they chose something completely different. It sounds so simple and there language is simple. But it's just hard to learn because even I haven't made a translation book yet." Notch laughed. "I'm hoping someone else could."
"And by someone else?" He asked curiously.
"Well. Your not the only player. In fact, there are other worlds nearby that you're never able to see but there definitely there. And I can't connect my worth with there's except for when I update there's. And they can't come here due to the laws of your world." Notch explained.
"And Herobrine?" Steve asked.
Notch frowned and sighed.
"His home realm had connections to each world. No two neather portals open up nearby so they seem to think there in there own realm. But there all in a box of which Herobrine shoves them in so they don't destroy his house. Each box builds itself when Herobrine senses a neather portal being placed. And as soon as it's closed or blown up and the player is gone, the box Herobrine made around it falls apart.Steve listened intently.
"Also, one thing to mention is Herobrine tried to make this strange update once. Giving people the gift of life, by allowing them to do something before having the receiver spend some time before welcoming a child into this world. Of course I didn't really like it because he was never good with life. His job was a more sinister story, and mine was to introduce life and objects." Notch explained with a smile but then sighed and frowned. "It was the reason why me and Herobrine had a fallout to earn his horrid reputation. He severally weakened me and I ran. I could never kill my brother, but apparently he had the intentions of killing Me."
Steve felt horrible to hear this and finished off his plate.
Notch soon brightened back to his usual aura and joy. But he saw Steve's inner mind yearning for an answer to something.
"What's on your mind?" Notch asked as he took there dishes and went over to his sink and washed them.
"What does it mean when he wanted to have people bring life into this world?" He questioned.
"Well, a little kid like how the animals do. But it wouldn't be anyone else, it would be it's own person. And i had never done anything like that except with you. But you have a mind of your own like me and Herobrine, and yet all those after you didn't. I tried to re create it but they couldn't come out like you." Notch described.
"So you turned it down, because you couldn't repeat it?" Steve asked.
"Yes. But I refused Herobrine the recipe that I made that brought you into the world. Because I thought he would never be able to do it." Notch sighed.
"And if he couldn't do it and he released anything of the sort it could cause issues." Steve said as he thought about it.
