Chapter 5

Before I could memorize the formulas that materialized before me

Jeun closed her book upon hearing the school bell's ring. She looked around the class..Huh, Naeun didn't come today. Guess I gotta eat alone.

Jeun walked slowly towards her locker. It's been 4 months since she last saw her Grandpa and also 4 months since her Grandma passed away. She's living like a normal teenager at Aunt Jessie's house. And guess what? She's been living in hell. Aunt Jessie was too strict and kept her away from outside world. Jeun is a girl who loves adventure so much. There's one time she turned into her wolf form as she was mad at Aunt Jessie. Instead of fearing her, Aunt Jessie's sons and daughters burst into laughter as they looked at her. When she asked them why, they said they never saw any white wolf in their pack. They said she's not one of them and probably being thrown away by her real parents. That's why she doesn't know or have any memories of her parents. Aunt Jessie shooed them away and asked her to change back into the human form. Jeun turned back and went away in tears.

"Bukk!!"

"Ouch!" "Oww!"

Jeun was lying flat on her butt. She groaned and looked to the person she had collapsed into. It was that mysterious boy, Jun.

Someone stood next to him and was laughing at us. Jun slapped his leg and looked at me. His eyes shot an electric wave through my whole body.

"Are you okay?" He helped me to get up. He also collected my books and gave it to me. I bowed and quickly walked away. His eyes..it's red and shiny, right? I turned my head to look again. He's still looking at me. He smiled and waved. His eyes were dark maroon, not red. I must have been dreaming to much. I sped to my locker and took my things before walking towards my class.

I exhaled in relief as the homeroom teacher came in. I searched for the textbook in my bag. Oh no! Where is it?? I'm still busy searching for my book when the teacher was heard scolding a late student. I ignored it and continued to search for the book.

All of the sudden, I felt warm at my back. I looked at the person sitting next to me and saw Jun smiling brightly.

"Looking for this?" He put the book on my desk. I nodded and thanked him before edging my chair far from him.

"You know I'm not gonna eat you, right?" I froze and turned my head into his direction slowly. He's looking at the teacher but I saw his smirk. I shrugged and ignored him.

During the class, Jun won't stop teasing me and all. I was getting annoyed of him. He kept on teasing me. Once I accidentally slapped his thigh instead of hand and he let out a loud moan. The whole class looked at us.

"Ms. Lee..Mr. Wen...I know you're in love but please don't do it in my class. Go to the toilet after my class. Ok?"

The whole class laughed their heads off except for me. ONLY ME! Jun was smiling like crazy. He winked at the teacher and Mrs. Park chuckled and shook her head. I was so embarrassed that I slowly slipped lower under the desk.

"Wait okay, honey. We'll set the school on fire after this," he said slyly. I turned my head to face him and shot him a dirty look. He laughed and continued to write the notes he's taking just now. I rolled my eyes and looked straight at Mrs. Park and ignored Jun completely.
