Chapter 8

Cautious of the mirrors next to me,

Jeun opened her eyes. She looked around her and saw Jun sitting on a sofa opposite her. He looked so handsome even though he's asleep. His soft snores made Jeun's lips curved into a smile. Wait a minute...WHERE AM I!?
Jeun climbed down the bed and quickly woke Jun from his sleep.

"Yes, yes. I'm awake," Jun sat properly and looked at Jeun.

"Oh, you're awake. Do you have a good sleep?"asked Jun while smiling. Jeun stare at him in disbelief.

"It's fine," replied Jeun curtly.

Jun's smile turned into a frown. Before he could say anything, Jeun cut his words.

"Where am I? And please tell me it's still night," pleaded Jeun.

Jun sighed and showed her his watch. 9:45 a.m.. Jeun's eyes turned wider than usual. "WHAT!?"

"SHH!!" Jun cupped her mouth.

"The whole castle is sleeping and I would be really pleased if you keep quiet," whispered Jun. Jeun turned pale.

"V-vampire's castle?" Jeun stammered. Jun nodded. Jeun fell onto the ground. She's shaking from head to toe. Jun pulled her into his embrace.

"You'll be fine. I'll protect you at any cost. Even if I have to sacrifice myself," said Jun.

Jeun looked into his eyes. She saw the sincerity in it. Slowly, she edged closer. Jun's also looking at her. They were only inches apart when all of the sudden there's a loud knock at the door.

"Jun oppa!! Open the door!! I wanna meet you so bad!!" a girl's voice was heard. Jun pointed at Jeun and after that the bed. Jeun seems completely clueless. Jun smiled.

"Hide under the bed. And cover your ears or you might vomit," said Jun jokingly. He pushed Jeun slowly and walked lazily towards the door.

"I'm coming!"yelled Jun. He turned and winked at Jeun. She rolled her eyes.

Right after he opened the door, a girl jumped onto him and gave him a tight hug.

Jeun's P.O.V

"I miss you so much!!" said the girl. She won't let go of Jun. Harshly, Jun pushed her off of him. The girl frowned but she still clinging at Jun's arm. His expression turned cold. Unlike before, he seemed to be uncomfortable with the girl around.

"Don't you miss your fiancee?"said the girl while twirling her hair. I tried hard to hold back my laughter. So, Jun got a fiancee, huh? Haha, snobby bimbo is his taste? Crazy funny!

Jun climbed onto the bed and lied down under the comforters. He closed his eyes.

"Junnie~~" the girl whined and jumped onto the bed. I almost shrieked but I managed to bite my lips.

"Get off of my bed now or you'll die," I heard Jun's cold voice. Slowly, I heard the girl climbed down the bed while sobbing. The floor creaked as she walked farther from the bed. She looked sad. Aish, Jun is too harsh. Why is he treating her like that?

"What do you want?" His voice boomed again. I'm still watching the girl's expression. She's literally crying right now. She shook her head and disappeared into the thin air.

"Get out from under the bed, Jeun," said Jun. His voice turned normal.

I slowly got out and looked at him. "I don't mean to stick my nose into your business but why did you treated her that way?" I asked.

He sighed and gestured me to sit next to him. I obeyed.

"Eunmi's not my fiancee. She became like that after she learnt that her fiancee died. She thought the human killed him so she tried to set a village on fire. We managed to stop her and locked her inside the castle. She lost her memories of him as my mother locked that memories. To make sure she doesn't remember about him again, they told her that I'm her fiancee. I gotta help her or she'll go nuts," Jun ended his story with a long heavy sigh.

"I pitied her but what can I do? She loves to linger around me and I felt uncomfortable," said Jun.

"Okay, I won't ask anything else. Just one more," I looked at him. He raised his left eyebrow.

"Why am I here again?"

Jun slapped his forehead.

"I had forgotten about that!!!" He quickly pulled me into his arms and we disappeared from the room.

When I opened my eyes, he's stood in front of me with a guilty look on his face.

"I'm sorry," and with that, he vanished. I looked around for him. He's nowhere in my room. Unfortunately, I slipped and fell flat on my back with a loud thud.
"JEUN!!Is that you?" My aunt burst into my room and looked at me.

"I thought I told you to sleep with pyjamas not night gown," she helped me to get up.

"Breakfast is ready. Go wash your face," she said while walking away. I'm totally confused. Why didn't she asked about my whereabouts yesterday?

A note flew and landed on my thigh. I pick it up and read it.

I erased some of your aunt's memory so she'll forgot that you're not home yesterday. Hope you'll be fine. I made the floor slippery enough so you'll fell and your aunt will hear you. Sorry

I shook my head and walked towards the bathroom to fresh up myself. I looked horrible. Oh no, Jun must be trying hard to hold his laugh. I mentally screamed.
