English was my first class of the day. I had it with Jessie, luckily. I walk in and take a seat at the back, where I always sit. Jessie sits next to me. I have my headphones in and am drawing on my notebook when Jessie slaps my arm. "What the hell?" I yell at her.

"Look who's in our class." She says pointing to the door.

I slipped my hood off and look up seeing Justin saunter in with Megan hanging all over him. She doesn't even seem to faze him. He looks all around the room until his eyes land on mine and we look at eachother until Megan starts whining at him. She's like a 12 year old.

"Oh God." I groan slipping down in my seat and putting my hood back on. I'm listening to Scars by Papa Roach when my hood is ripped off and my headphones are ripped out of my ears. I turn around to see who the stupid person is that thought it would be a good idea to do that when I see Dylan Harfst staring at me. Dylan and I used to date in eighth grade but now we're just friends.

"You freaking idiot what are you doing?" I whisper yell at him.

"The teacher wants you." He says pointing to the front of the room.

I hadn't been listening, great way to start off the school year.

"Yes?" I say to Mr. Bellows, my teacher.

"You and Justin will be working on the project together." he says gesturing to Justin.

"Oh great." I groan. I lean over to Jessie. "What project?"

"You have to do an essay and presentation about the worst things in your life." She says rolling her eyes.

"Oh great. What fun. I get to work with Mr. Perfect who can't do anything wrong. Fun." I groan. I look at my phone, 8:00, class is almost over. I pack up my things and put my hood back on but not before glancing over at Justin to see him staring at me. I give him a puzzled look and he just winks and pulls his sleeves down.
