Trust

Chapter One

Jessie and I are walking down the hallway talking about what classes we have when I hear my name being called.

"Meaghan! Meaghan wait up!"

I turn around to see Justin Buchanan running towards me yelling my name.

I look over at Jessie. "He can NOT be calling my name."

"I think he is..." she said still staring at him.

Just as he gets to me he goes to my right and hugs Megan Meyers. The queen B of the school. "I told you he wasn't calling my name." I sighed, looking at Jessie.

"Well technically he was..." she started but I slapped her arm and gave her a pointed look before she could finish.

"Come on let's go to class." I said looking at Justin and Megan kissing. Ugh they're so gross. Get a room.

Let me give you some background information. I, Meaghan Millerick, am the biggest nerd in all of Pacific Highschool. My bestfriend is Jasyina Richardson, everyone calls her Jessie. We've been through a lot. She's got a messed up life but I'm always there to help her through it, and she's always there to help me. We're freshmen in Highschool. Last year in eighth grade I figured out Justin Buchanan, the hottest guy in my grade, liked me. I didn't think it was true, he was the guy every guy wanted to be and the guy every girl wanted to be with. How could he like me right? Well he did. Only he wasn't gonna make a move and he wasn't going to tell me. Luckily one of my very good friends, my best guy friend, Trey, told me he did. Trey and Justin are best friends, almost brothers. So I knew it was the truth when he told me. As soon as I figured out I called Jessie.

"Oh my God!!! Guess what!!!!!" I yelled into the phone.

"Stop yelling, it's 3 o'clock in the freaking morning!" She whisper yelled back at me.

"Justin likes me!" I whisper yelled back at her. Then I heard screaming.

"Really!!!!!! Oh my God! Oh my God!!! Really?? How do you know??" She yelled back at me.

"What happened to not yelling?" I asked her.

"This is yelling worthy Meaghan, Justin freaking Buchanan likes you!"

"Okay okay calm down. Trey told me."

"Oh my God this is amazing Meaghan."

We talked on the phone for another hour about all the 'what-if's'. Then I fell asleep. The next day at school Justin and I kept looking at eachother. We only had last hour together, gym. I was waiting for him to ask me out. He never did. So I talked to Trey. He told me he wasn't ready for a relationship yet. The next day he was dating Julia White.

I went up to Trey "Not ready for a fucking relationship Trey?! He looks pretty fucking ready!" I screamed at him.

"Calm down Meaghan. He's messed up let him think it over. Just, don't expect anything." He said looking at the ground. He could never look me in the eye when he told me something bad.

When I heard that I started crying. I fell into Trey and cried.

I remember that day like it was yesterday, but it was almost 6 months ago. I gave up on Justin and never looked at him again. It helped school was almost over. I had the whole summer to get over him. I did. Or so I thought. Seeing him in the hallway today, the first day of school, brought back all of my feelings. I just hope we don't have any classes together.
