Hey everyone! Thank you for continuing to comment on my story, which motivates me greatly. I'm so glad y'all are enjoying this and I'm getting more ideas every day on what to write. Please remember, all these one-shots are unrelated. Some of them could work together I guess, but in my mind as I'm writing they're completely seperate. Thanks again for all the views and comments. Grivine forever.
-Adam's POV-
I'd never said this outloud but my favorite part of the day was quickly becoming practice with Christina. It's not that I don't like all the members on my team, they're all great singers and kind people. Christina was just the one I bonded with the most I guess. She loved music, video games, and just having fun. We probably joked around as much as we sang.
I had just finished coaching Kat on her upcoming performance and I was ready to start helping Christina.
"See you later, Adam, and thanks again," said Kat as she turned back and waved. I said goodbye absentmindedly as my thoughts were already on Christina.
"Hey have you seen Christina?" I called to Kat. I could barely hear her as she replied,
"No, but she's probably with Bria."
I headed out into the main area in search of her. She was performing "Dark Horse" which was perfect for her. Her rendition of it was everything I expected and wanted from her.
"You're fortunate to have guy problems, I mean I could use a nice boy right about now." I paused and saw Bria and Christina casually leaning against the wall and chatting.
"It's not fun when instead of my head thinking about music, my head is thinking about him," said Christina. My mind swirled as I wondered who she was talking about.
"This always happens in the movies. The girl is facing some hard important quest and than she meets a guy and she's worried about getting distracted but then the guy does something nice for her or saves her and happy ending with a nice diamond ring," finished Bria as she crossed her arms.
I knew they couldn't see me from here and I was about to interrupt them when Christina said,
"I've just never felt so strongly about a guy before."
"Well he's kind of like the whole package," said Bria.
"Well there's nothing I can do about it," replied Christina. I wondered who they were talking about, if it was one of the contestants here. It was obvious Christina liked this guy. I felt a rush of anger pass through me and I shook my head. I shouldn't care about this, I was her coach and friend. The thought of someone else getting to hold her small hand and be resposible for her laugh was almost too much.
"I need a drink," I muttered. Blake was influencing me too much.
I didn't think I could take much more so I pretended to just walk in, "Hey Christina, there you are."
She jumped back about a foot and her eyes widened in fear. Bria was clearly trying not to laugh and I frowned in confusion.
"Is everythink okay?" I asked.
"What, perfect, yes," said Christina in a rush. Bria snorted, waved at me, and walked off.
"Are you ready to practice?" I asked gently. Something was clearly off with her and I hoped it wouldn't effect tonight.
"Yes, of course budbud," she replied.
We'd run through it twice before Christina was called to try on her outfit.
"You can come along too, if you want to see," suggested the stylist. I paused and glanced at Christina. Normally I didn't see the outfits till right before the performers went on.
