I have been MIA for god knows how long. A month ago I did try and update but wattpad unsuccesfully saved my story and I didn't feel it was strong enough to rewrite. Honestly, I just miss grivine. With everything happening on season 7 I wish we could see Christina and Adam interact again. This is me just getting stuff out I guess. Haha. I will continue to post on here but not as frequently since school has started. Love you all.

*Note this chapter has more mature themes, I suggest not reading if you are uncomfortable with sex. Because at least a 1/4 of this chapter is smut to be frank.-Adam's POV-

It was season 10 of The Voice. Going into this Blake and I knew this would be our last season. We had been doing this show for a long time and it was time to give way to knew artists who wanted to give this a go. It wasn't exactly a coincidence that we were retiring from the show at the same time. I would never admit this to Blake, but I couldn't see myself doing this show without him and I had long decided I didn't want to leave and come back and leave and come back. So this was it. And I was out to win this year. Everything had been going right for me. In early August I got married to the most spectagular woman I had ever met. We had traveled to Rome and Athens for our honeymoon and we were both still in that 'phase'. Professionally, Maroon 5 was releasing an album mid-November which I was excited about. So things were falling into place for me, and well, The Voice had to be the next thing that would.

And so far it was.

I had a fantastic team, I had never had such a diverse team. It was the night before knock out rounds, practice was over, and I was satisfied that I was helping these people.

"Adam?"

I turned around to find my beautiful wife standing in the doorway of the studio.

"Hey babe," I whispered as I pulled her into my arms.

"You said you would be ready this time when I picked you up," she replied in a teasing tone.

"Sorry, I just got distracted. I'm so excited for this season."

"I can see that. Are you sure you want to quit? You love this so much."

"It would be too much trying to coach, sing with Maroon 5, and start a family. No, I know this is what I want. I'm going to enjoy it to the very end, and then, I'm going to enjoy something different."

"I just want you to be happy. I love you," she murmured as she burried her head in my chest.

"Hey," I said as I pulled her away to look at her, "I haven't stopped being happy since the day you said you would go on a date with me."

I brushed her bangs to the side and stared at her. She was gorgeous. Sure, she wasn't a model, but she didn't have to be. She had medium length dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and a voice that could kill. I finally noticed what she was wearing. A black skirt and a white satin top. By the way she was dressed she minded me how lucky I was that she was willing to marry an old fart like me. She always claimed we acted closer in age than we were, and maybe that was true. That's when I remembered we had planned to go out to dinner.

"Oh shit, dinner," I said.

"You didn't want to go home and change did you? You look fine," she replied as she ran her fingers along my shirt collar. Her thumb brushed against my neck and I was suddenly in the mood for something else. Like I said, we hadn't quite gotten out of the honeymoon stage yet.

"Why don't we skip dinner?" I asked in a lower voice.

"Adam, we've already skipped going out to dinner three times this month," she said as I watched her cheeks go redder.
