The Adventure Begins

Harmony's pov

I let out a wail as another wave of tears flowed down my cheeks. There lay my mother, Queen Honey Buzz,on the floor. Her beautiful golden horn black. Her flowing yellow mane had stopped moving. "Hahahhaha!" A evil female voice called. I didn't even turn around. Queen Gilda. She hated ponies. I felt my anger start to bubble. "She's...so..weak..what did you do to....her?" My voice got a little demonish,but Gilda didn't notice. "I defeated her,duh," Gilda said,angering me more. My fur turned dark purple with a black aura around it. "YOU HAVE NO HEART! YOU ARE A CARELESS, SNOOTY,DUM GFIFFON THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT! AND SINCE YOUR SOMETHING NOONE CARES ABOUT!" I yelled,turning around reveal my eyes glowing white. "THERE IS NO REASON YOUR BREATHING IS THERE?!" I asked rhetorically. I pushed the excuse of a queen against the wall. "NOONE WILL HAVE TO CARE FOR YOU IF THERE'S NOBODY TO CARE FOR!" I said,closing in on her neck with my magic. Gilda started choking. I smiled revealing two fangs. Weak magic surronded me. I was pryed off of Gilda and pulled slowly towards my mother. I looked around and saw my mother weakly sitting,her horn filled with slowly wavering pink magic. "Travel....Equestria," My mother whispered. The Peace Queen fell over and landed roughly. Her legs sprawled out. I turned to normal and gasped. I galloped out of the throne room. Midnight silently flying after me. A weak Gilda flew past us shouting. "Leave! We've done enough damage!" I slowed to a walk as I saw the damage. Buildings destroyed,dead ponies in a row,foals without mothers. My ears drooped. How could somepony be so..heartless to do all this. Everypony saw me and crowded around me. They started asking me questions. "Everypony calm down!" I yelled.

After explanation

I gulped as my friend and servant, Lily Pads, adjusted my saddlebags. Midnight looked nervous to. "Best of luck your highness," Lily said, smiling. I smiled my thanks and starting create the portal. My horn glowed with brightness. Midnight's wings fluttered nervously. "Harmony, are you sure I can't just stay here and-" I turned around ,my pupils constricted,making my posture look very threatening. Midnight sweatdropped and kept quiet. I turned my concentration back on to the gateway to "Equestria". I the portal was very pretty,it looked like an aurora. But there was no time to stare at it. "You first Midna," I said to Midnight,using her childhood nickname which gave me a flashback to when we first met.

Flashback

"Harmony!" My mother called. My ears perked up and I looked up from my book. "Why don't you get some fresh air,it's a beautiful day," Mother softly. "But-" I started. "That wasn't a question," mother said sternly. I sighed and jumped of my bed and very slowly walked towards the door. When I was younger I wasn't very social. Mother lowered the top part of her eyes in a "are-you-freaking-serious" look and used her magic to push me out the door. "And you can't come back until you make a friend!" Mother called after me. I walked, tail down, ears drooping, face annoyed and wings draped, sliding across the ground. I looked around at the ponies bustling about and the foals playing on their playground, but I noticed a young blank flank filly by herself in a corner of the playground. By the looks of things she had been crying. And she was singing a tune. She sounded really pretty. She had a book in her right wing, and a quill and journal resting at her hooves. I trotted over to her. My curly, red hair bouncing in rhythm. "Um excuse me," I said, tapping a hoof on her shoulder. The filly turned around and gasped. "Y-your higness," she bowed and I lowered my eyes in annoyance. What is it with these ponies and bowing. "W-what do I owe this visit?" she said staying in her bowing position. "1. Get up. 2. why are you crying and 3. Holy horseapples you have a wonderful voice." I said, smiling warmly. The blank flank blushed her thanks. "Thanks, I've never really been praised before," she said, her hoof meeting her blue and black mane. "What's your name." I asked, knowing she already knew mine. "I'm Midnight Mystery your higness-" "Call me Harmony." I said, holding out my hoof. Midnight Mystery slowly but surely took it. "How bout I call you Midna?" I asked. Midna shook her her head. "Great!" I looked at the writing in her journal and asked "What you writing Midna?" I asked peeking at her journal. "Oh just a rough draft for a newspaper article," My new friend said. I nodded and told her I was going to go get something, and galloped away quickly.

Midnight Mystery's pov

I watched as Harmony galloped away. I smiled at my new friend and turned back to my journal, only to see it being levitated in white magic. I looked up to see my bully, Angel Bright smirking reading it. "Blek, who would want to read this. It's just a piece of garbage with no talent. Kinda like you blank freak," Angel Barf started ripping up the pages. "No! I worked two weeks on that! And its deadline is tomorrow!" I frantically tried to get away from her, but she held me back with her magic and made me watch. "No!" I cried, tears falling from my eyes. "Hey!!!!!" a familiar voice called out. I looked to see Harmony flying in the sky. Oh thank peace stones. I thought. Angel Barf stopped immediately and dropped me. I landed on my face and groaned. "Leave my friend alone you hear!?" I heard Harmony say. "Y-yes Princess." I heard Angel say and galloped away. I started crying again and Harmony helped me up. "My work is ruined, I'm gonna lose my job." I sadly. Harmony smiled. "Not yet!~" She said cheerfully. "Huh?" I asked. Harmony's horn lit up with pretty purple magic. Her magic engulfed around my journal and started fixing the-

back to the present Harmony's pov

"Your higness?" I snapped open my eyes. Lily Petal was tapping my shoulder. "Ms. Midnight has already gone in,are you ready?" She asked. I nodded my head and took a step foward. Then, I took one hoof and slipped it in. I took it back out in fear and looked back at Lily. She nodded and shouted "For the Kingdom!" She stamped her hooves with glee. I grinned and took some steps back. I then reared and galloped to the portal with joy. "For the kingdom!" I ehcoed as I took a mighty leap and my body slid through the portal. I started spinning uncontrollably,screaming and hollering. I had to close my eyes because the light was so blinding. I heard Midnight's faint scream as I entered unconciousness.
