Chapter 3~Carter

'555-615-5555: Yah. I know that silly! But we can be friends over the phone ya'know. Like pen pals :)'

What am I doing? So much can go wrong. What if he finds out who I am? What if I am to boring and he doesn't want to be my friend?

OK. Maybe I'm just thinking to much.

'Me: ... Sure.' I hesitantly rushed in my reply and ran to my next class which, coincidentally, I have with Jenna, Jalen and some new girl named Mahogany.

Don't get me wrong, she looks nice. But any friend of theirs is not a friend of mine.

Thankfully, I'm the first one to my class, which is Science. So I quickly choose my seat in the second to last row. About five minutes later the class doom quickly started to fill and just my luck, Jenna and Jalen sat right behind me, Mahogany sitting to my left.

"Class Shutup and listen!" my Science teacher, Mr. Onision, (A/N if you havent noticed the teachers are youtubers) commanded. "Everyone grab a partner!" he yelled, and everyone grabbed their bestfriend while I awkwardly stood by myself.

"Such a loner." I heard Jenna laugh behind me. Suddenly, some girl with long brown curly hair, tan skin, and big brown eyes came rushing through the door, schedule in hand.

"You must be Kaylin, the new student. " Mr.Onision said with a grimace.

"Yeah sorry for being late. " she huffed out of breath. "We're about to start a project so partner up with the girl near the back." he said pointing at me. My eyes widened as she started walking to me.

"Kaylin." she stated thrusting her hand out towards me. I hesitantly took it, while fully taking in her appearance. She was wearing tight blue skinny jeans, with black combat boots with a pink short sleeve shirt. She seemed pretty friendly, but you know what they say, looks can be deceiving.

"Carter." I replied with a small, yet friendly, smile.

"Ok class, as you may see their are stations of different tools used durimg a scientific experiment, you and your partner need to work together and write down the name of the instrument and their function." the teacher instructed and we all went to seprate stations.

As we started working on station 9, which was obviously a triple beam balance, she spoke up.

"Erm, so what lunch do you have?" Kaylin asked with a smile.

"Next." I replied.

"Me too!" she screeched, causing me to jump back and others to snicker at us.

"Maybe we could sit together, yeah?" she suggested. I instantly shook my head "I don't really..." I trailled off. "Oh.." she said looking down. "Sure." I gave in with a small smile.

As if on que the bell rang and I rushed out of class. "Wait! ... Carter! ... The fu-" she started and I turned around "Geez Louise! why are you going so fast?!?" she panted, her body doubled over as she caught her breath. I just shrugged and kept walking, but slower so she could keep up. We walked in to the lunchroom, people staring at us as we got our lunches.

"Why are people always looking over at you? Are you popular or something? " I actually wanted to laugh at that, but instead I shook my head "No. Not at all." I said whilst opening my water.

She nodded her head "Oh."

Few minutes after I felt my right side pockets vibrate, and when I looked at the screen, to my surprise, I actually smiled.
