"Mr.Mendes." My teacher, Mr.Dawson, stopped me as I walked out of the classroom.
"Sir?"
"You forgot your math book in here for the third time. Don't let it happen again." He threatened, pointing a finger at me.
I quickly nodded and kept going my way. As I went down the hallway Taylor and Aaron appeared beside me.
"What did Dawson want?" Aaron said, shuddering as he said the name.
I laughed "Just to give me my math book." I answered, opening the book to show him my name on the inside cover. But something new instantly caught my eye, a phone number.
"Whoa whoa whoa," Taylor started, taking my math book from my hands, "who's phone number is this?" He mused.
"Actually, I have know idea." I said eyeing it suspiciously.
Smirking he took my phone from my pocket, quickly undoing my code. I wonder why I even gave him my password anymore...
And before I knew it he was typing the number into new message '555-555-1257'.
"Wait! Taylor, don't text the num-" I started, but he was already typing in 'Hay bby I heard ur lookin for fun? ;)'
"Taylor! What the heck!" I yelled alittle too loudly , causing other students to eye us weirdly.
Him and Aaron just laughed as I snatched my phone from his (most likely) unclean hands, quickly typing in 'No! Sorry! That was my idiotic friend:P'
I made my way to my next class, Geography with Mrs.Shana. We all walked in right as the bell rings.
"Mmkay guys, just do some book work or whatever." She said shooing us off as she started filing her crimson red nails.
And with that, almost everyone in class took out their phones. As soon as I unlocked my phone I saw that the number replied.
'555-555-1257: Who is this?? How did you get my number??'
'Me: Oh yeah! I found your number in my math book so my friend decided to text it.' I replied.
'555-555-1257: Oh..'
'Me: Yah :/ So what's your name..!'
'555-555-1257: Uhm I'd rather not say.'
Okay then...
'Me: C'mon I won't bite ;)'
'555-555-1257: I'm sure. But I still don't want to.' They replied
'Me: Okay'
'Me: So.. Do you go to Northbridge?'
'555-555-1257: Yes.. You?'
A small smile appeared on my face though I kind of figured.
'Me: SAME :O what grade?!' I replied, excised yet curious.
'555-555-1257: I am a Junior.'
Then my small smile turned up to a big one.
'Me: Me too!!OMG I MIGHT KNOW YOU'
'555-555-1257: I doubt it :/'
I furrowed my eyebrows as I read the text.
'Me: Why is that :/'
'555-555-1257: No one knows me, really.' They replied back causing my smile to faulter.
'Me: What do you mean??' I pressed.
'555-555-1257: I'm more like the person who sits in the back of the class. Or the one who gets trampled on in the hallways. Or the one who has know friends, or gets pushed in the lockers. The one no ever notices...'
'Me: Aww :( How about I be your friend!' I suggested.
And it's a pretty good suggestion if I do say so myself.
'555-555-1257: I already told you. I don't want you to know my name. Let alone my identity.' They replied stubbornly.
Me: Yah. I know that silly! But we can be friends over the phone ya'know. Like pen pals :)'
After about 3 minutes the bell rings and my phone vibrates.
'555-555-1257: ... Sure.'
I quickly locked my phone, smiling triumphantly, and made my way to my next class.
