[ third pov ]

"three!"

both of them ran off to opposites directions and as mark had planned, the men all went after him thinking it was haechan.

the younger glanced back at the older's figure that slowly disappeared into the trees, frowning as he ran further away. but he quickly turned away after noticing the few men that were still going after him. "fuck-" he muttered before running off to who knows where.

his legs were slowly giving up on him and he knew that he wouldn't be able to run much longer. haechan groaned as he mentally cursed himself for eating too much chips while sleeping on the couch.

sounds of tires screeching grew closer as a black van came into view. it stopped directly in front of haechan, causing him to halt in his steps. the door slid opened, revealing renjun in the back. "hurry, get in!" he stuck out a hand as haechan grabbed it. they pulled him inside and drove off.

winwin was driving; he grunted as he dodged the bullets that were being shot at the van. the car swayed from side to side, making everyone nauseous. haechan shut his eyes and pulled off his mask, inhaling a deep breath as he did.

"where's mark? and why are you wearing his clothes?" lucas asked while looking at haechan through the rear mirror. he pushed his hair back and answered in a tired voice.

"we split up, i don't know where he is now." he explained the rest of their plan to the others while johnny mended his wounds. he didn't even realize all the cuts he had from the tree branches until the older pointed it out.

"w-where's jaemin?" haechan asked as his face scrunched in pain. they gestured to the back where he laid with a cloth over his leg. he was passed out on jeno's lap. "he's fine, i stopped his bleeding and he's resting."

haechan nodded while he asked another question. "where's taeyong?" he knew about how the older was injured badly but he didn't see him anywhere in the car with them. johnny pursed his lips together as he wrapped the bandage around haechan's arm.

he didn't get an answer.
