I'd lost count of the amount of times I'd spilt something on my jeans or the amount if times a drunken teen had bumped into me. I was currently on my fourth cherry coke and cursing myself for allowing Miya to rope me into going to yet another party, thrown by yet another person I didn't know. Everyone around me was having a wonderful drunken time while I stood by, making sure my best friend didn't do something she'd definitely regret when she was sober. I let my eyes wander the room, scanning peoples faces in hope I'd come across somebody I knew. I had no such luck.

"Fancy seeing you here," A voice came from my left and I jumped, spilling more coke on my jeans. I looked to find the owner of the voice was Calum, the guy I'd met at the last party.

"Cheers for that," I gave him a sarcastic smile, setting my cup down on the table beside me and rubbing at my jeans.

"You are most welcome," he grinned. "Rubbing the stain with your hand isn't going to get it out, by the way,"

"I'm well aware of that," I retorted, even though I wasn't well aware of it. I let my arms fall to my sides and looked back at Calum, who was trying to hold back a laugh. "Don't laugh at me, this is your fault,"

"Hm," he smiled again and I couldn't help but notice how fucking amazing it was. "So, I didn't know you knew Andy?"

"Oh, I don't," I shook my head "Yeah, Miya talked me into coming,"

"She leave you again?"

"Yup," I nodded. Man I needed new friends, or I needed to stop being talked into attending parties. Either was good for me really.

"Need a ride home?" He asked. I shook my head.

"Nah, I live like a ten minute walk away. Thanks for offering Ashton give me a ride home though,"

"I was actually offering for me to drive you home but if you want Ashton.." Calum started walking away. I pulled him back, laughing as I did so.

"No, I don't need a ride home," I laughed. "I can walk,"

"I'll walk you home then!" He decided. I shook my head but it seemed he wasn't taking no for an answer. He grabbed my hand and pulled me through the masses of people towards the front door, ignoring peoples attempts at talking to him as we went. He let go of my hand once we were safely outside and I was sad when he did. I liked the feel of my hand in his, which is really weird coming from someone who doesn't enjoy being touched.

Calum turned left at the end of the driveway, which was the opposite direction to where I lived.

"I live the other way,"

"We're taking the long way," Calum smiled again. It seemed like he did that a lot, which I liked. We walked for a few minutes in a comfortable silence. I snuck a few quick glances at him, wishing I had my sketch pad. I would love to draw him.

"Sure," He said, breaking the silence. I blushed because apparently, I'd said that out loud.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah," he nodded, shrugging. "Why not,"

"Awesome," I grinned.

"So Avery whatever your last name is, tell me about yourself,"

"Did you seriously take me the long way just to learn my life story?" I groaned.

"Maybe I did," Calum held back a smile.

"What would you like to know, Calum Hood?"

"Your family, hopes and dreams, favourite things," he threw his hands up in the air. "Everything! I'd also like to know how you found my last name but we'll get to that later,"
