Peter POV:
I shot up covered in sweat and struggling to breath. Everything had been so clear, the fight against silver robots and Stacey, falling from the sky to her death. Tears clouded my vision as I turned my head to see Stacey sleeping next to me. A loud sob left my mouth as I covered my face, trying not to wake her. I looked straight ahead to see my TV still on.
Suddenly, I felt Stacey move from beside me. I looked over to see her rubbing her eyes before sitting up sleepily. She looked at the clock beside her before turning to look at me. She frowned when she seem my tears and went to wipe them away carefully.
"Peter? What's wrong?" She asked, concern lacing her voice.
I just looked at her as tears trained down my cheek. I let out a sob and she pulled me into a hug.
"Shh, it's okay. Just a dream, it's not real." She stated as she rocked us gently.
Once my sobbing ceased to heavy breathing, Stacey placed a kiss on my cheek before pulling away.
"You died." I stated as I pulled her back to me.
"I'm still here?" She said confused.
"It felt real. You fell from the sky during the fight but you died on the way down." I said.
"Hey, I'm not going anywhere. I love you. And if we're being honest your the one that will go first because your older." She smiled causing me to laugh.
"Only by two months." I exclaimed before yawning causing Stacey to laugh.
"Come on, let's get some sleep." She said.
"Will you still be here when I wake." I asked like a child.
"Yes, I will." She nodded as she wrapped her arms around my waist.
"I love you." I whispered, kissing her head.
"I love you too." She replied, placing her head on my chest.
